Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 04/18/2021 25000 Northwestern Screen was On 04/18/2021 Officer was dispatched to the 25000 3:00am (Hotel) removed and Block of Northwestern (Hotel) reference an unwanted window was subject. The subject was recently advised on opened. trespassing on 04/17/2021 by Hotel Security. The manager for the hotel called stating subject was on the premises again making threats about stabbing someone. Officers arrived on scene and attempted to locate the suspect. He was not located but Officers discovered a screen removed and window open in one of the ground level hotel rooms. Officers and the manager attempted to make contact at this room. Nobody answered the knock at the door so the manager opened the door. The room was not rented out to anyone. Officers found the room in disarray, the bed appeared to have been slept in and there were feces smeared on the wall. It’s believed that the person Officers were looking for is responsible. The suspect has been identified and investigation is on-going. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 04/18/2021 20000 Lahser Rd. Attempt only on R/P advises sometime on 04/18/2021 between 8:30am (Apartments) apartment door. 8:30am- 11:20am someone attempted to force entry To: 04/18/2021 into her apartment. 11:20am Officers observed the apartment door to have damage and there appeared to be a foot print towards the bottom of the door and a crack on the left side of the door. No entry was made into the apartment, attempt only. No suspect information. Tips: ❖ Let trusted neighbors know if you are not going to be at home ❖ Be cautious about who you let in your home for service and repairs ❖ Contact the Southfield Police Crime Prevention Bureau for a free home security inspection (248) 796-5409
Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details Status 04/15/2021 23000 Greenfield Rd. RS – Recovered Stolen TCSU Officer was traveling S/B Greenfield when 11:10am (Commercial Office Building) Manufacturer he observed a White Dodge Charger 392 DODGE (Recovered with Model traveling N/B with side tinted windows. There CHARGER Arrest) Color was a younger B/M driving the vehicle with a WHI - White Vehicle Year blue hoodie. The vehicle pulled into the parking 2020 Body Style State lot of Office Building in the 23000 Block of TX Greenfield Rd. The license plate on the vehicle License Year 2021 came back improper on a 2015 Ford Truck. Description Stolen Vehicle The subject driving the vehicle parked and Recovered Date/Time 04/15/2021 11:11am walked into the Office Building. Other TCSU units made the location and set up surveillance of the vehicle. There was a flag on the vehicle plate indicating an incident out of Warren PD, on 4/15/2021 where the vehicle fled from Warren Officers. Officer ran the VIN on the vehicle which came back as a stolen vehicle out of Sterling Heights, taken on 3/11/2021. A short time later Officers observed the suspect exiting the Office Building and begin walking towards the stolen vehicle. Marked units began moving in to avoid a pursuit. The suspect saw Officers driving towards the vehicle, he then turned and began walking at a fast pace back towards the Office Building. Marked units immediately moved in and took the suspect into custody. Officers recovered a working Dodge Charger key for the stolen vehicle in the suspects
pocket. The suspect was arrested for R&C Motor Vehicle/ & DWLS. The incident was submitted to the OCPO for Review. They issued Complaint & Warrant for R&C Motor Vehicle and DWLS. Status From: 04/14/2021 22000 Civic Center Dr. S - Stolen R/P advises his vehicle is a 2020 Jeep Grand 1:00am (Apartments) Manufacturer Cherokee SRT model and was Slate Blue in Jeep To: 04/14/2021 Model color. He last saw his vehicle around 1:00am. Grand Cherokee SRT 6:20am License No. The vehicle has 22” rims on it. R/P noticed the Illinois Temp Tag Tag vehicle was stolen around 6:15am. Color R/P advised he bought the vehicle in June of BLU - Blue Vehicle Year 2020 and has been unable to register it due to 2020 Body Style Covid. R/P does have insurance on the vehicle 4D - 4 Door and provided that information. The vehicle has State IL an unknown Illinois Temp Tag on it. License Year 2020 Inside the vehicle was custom made Golf Clubs, Description 2020 Grand Cherokee SRT Cartier Sunglasses, Jordon Golf Shoes, and misc. Slate Blue bills of US currency. No suspect information.
Status From: 04/16/2021 28000 Franklin River Dr. S - Stolen Victim states his 2014 Black Dodge Durango R/T 11:00pm (Apartments) Manufacturer was parked at Apartment Complex in the 28000 DODGE To: 04/17/2021 Model Block of Franklin River Dr. DURANGO 8:30am Color Sometime between 04/16/2021 11:00pm- BLK - Black Vehicle Year 04/17/2021 8:30am someone stole his vehicle. 2014 Body Style No suspect information. 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2021 Description Black 2014 Dodge Durango RT
Status From: 04/17/2021 23000 Village House Dr. SR - Both Stolen and R/P states he parked the car in the 23000 Block 4:00am (Condo’s) Recovered of Village House Dr. at 4:00am. R/P woke up the Manufacturer To: 04/17/2021 DODGE same morning at 5:50am and observed the Model 5:50am CHARGER vehicle gone with broken glass where the car was Color RED - Red parked. No suspect information. Vehicle Year On 04/17/2021, Officer was dispatched to the 2017 Body Style State 24000 Block of Simmons Ave. for a report of a MI Description vehicle crashed into the guard rail at the end of Red 2017 Dodge Charger the street. with Broken Window Recovered Date/Time A Lein check revealed the vehicle was the same 04/17/2021 11:00am vehicle that was stolen earlier this morning. Upon arrival, Officer observed the unoccupied, Red 2017 Dodge Charger pushed up against the guard rail at the end of Simmons St. The vehicle was recovered and processed by SPD Evidence Technician. Note: It was discovered that the vehicle had a club device on the brake pedal and it appears that when the suspect(s) took the vehicle the brakes didn’t work because of the device on the brake pedal and caused the vehicle to crash into the guard rail. The vehicle was recovered not far from where it was taken. No suspect information. Tips: ❖ Never leave your vehicle running unattended ❖ Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible ❖ Use commercially available security devices
Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status 04/13/2021 22000 Foster Winter S - Stolen Victim advises she parked her vehicle in the 7:51pm (Medical- Cancer center) Description Hospital Cancer Center parking lot at 7:00am. Generic Brand Purse Containing: Cash, Home Depot Credit Card, When she came back out to her vehicle at (Attempt Auto Theft Sears Credit Card, Lowe's Credit 7:30pm she discovered that someone had Card, Daughter's Social Security Also) Card, Social Security Card. tampered with her car door lock and entered her vehicle. Status 04/13/2021 29000 Telegraph Rd. S - Stolen R/P stated a client dropped an envelope off in 12:18pm (Commercial- Office) Description the building drop box, with an undisclosed Envelope containing undisclosed amount of cash. amount of cash in it. R/P advised on 04/13/2021 at 12:18pm an unknown USPS employee entered the building to deliver mail. R/P stated surveillance footage shows the U/M bend over, look at the envelope, stand back up, and stuff the envelope in the back pocket of his pants. When the U/M returned to the office the following day, R/P confronted him about taking the envelope. The USPS employee stated he picked up the envelope and when he saw it didn't have a stamp, he put it back. A copy of the surveillance video was placed into property. Investigation is on-going.
Status From: 04/16/2021 28000 Northwestern S - Stolen R/P states on 4/16/2021 around 1:30am-2:30am 1:30am (Hotel) Description he parked his White 2015 Chrysler 200 in the Black True Spec Cargo Pants, To: 04/16/2021 Black Leather IWB Holster & 28000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel). 10:00am Handgun were taken. R/P left his firearm overnight in the vehicle on the front seat inside of the holster, which was >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> still attached to his security pants. Status From: 04/17/2021 28000 Franklin River S - Stolen Victim states sometime on 04/17/2021 between 12:01am (Apartments) Description 12:01am- 6:00am she exited her vehicle and she A Louis Vuitton brown checkered To: 04/17/2021 Wristlet containing Gucci Wallet, thinks she dropped her Wristlet containing her 6:00am with 6 debit/credit cards. Credit Cards & Apple iPhone Charger. There was also an Apple iPhone Charger taken. Victim received notice from one of her credit card companies that there was suspicious activity, credit card fraud. That was when she realized that the items were missing. No suspect information.

S - Stolen Victim states his 2014 Ford Fusion was parked at 12:00am (Apartments) Description his Apartment Complex in the 25000 Block of 3- Wheels & Tires were taken To: 04/17/2021 from 2014 Ford Fusion. Shiawassee Rd. Sometime on 04/17/2021 6:30am between 12:00am- 6:30am someone broke out window on vehicle and stole 3- Wheels & Tires from the vehicle. It appears that suspects were either scared off or had difficulty taking the right rear wheel & tire as it was still on the vehicle. No suspect information. Status 04/18/2021 28000 Telegraph Rd. S - Stolen Victim states he was at Car Wash in the 28000 1:19pm (Car Wash) Description Block of Telegraph Rd. and left his wallet in the Wallet containing victims Driver’s License & Credit Cards. center console. No suspect information. Tips: ❖ Ensure your vehicle is locked always and valuables are out of sight. ❖ Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly ❖ Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked
Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details None Reported: Tips: ❖ Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. ❖ If something doesn’t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately ❖ Trust your intuition Unarmed Robbery: Status 04/16/2021 26000 Telegraph Rd. S - Stolen Victim states he was stopped for red light at S/B 2:30pm (Gas Station) Description Telegraph at Swanson. They all pulled off into the Gas Station. There was a female driver and one male passenger in the other vehicle. After pulling off the male passenger in the other vehicle got out of his car and started taking pictures of R/P and his vehicle. The R/P got his phone out and started taking pictures as well. The male passenger was upset with this and struck R/P with his fist three times knocking him to the ground. R/P isn’t sure, but one of the subjects then took his cell phone and fled the scene. Officers reviewed surveillance video from the Gas Station and determined the suspect vehicle to be a Black BMW with chrome rims. (Minor damage to rear bumper) Surveillance Video shows the suspect Assaulting victim and then picking up something from the
ground. (Most likely victims cell phone) The suspect was then picked up by the female and they fled the area. Suspect#1 is a B/M approx. 6'1", medium build, wearing green or brown doo rag, sweat shirt, and sweat pants. Suspect #2 is a B/F, approx. 5'6", medium build, wearing a long sleeve black shirt with a blue denim vest over top. Tips: ❖ Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police
Be on the Look Out Highlights: Arrests by SPD Officers: Special Attention: Domestic Simple Assault/ OWI= Operate While Impaired Threats to do Bodily Harm OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics 04/15/2021 21:40 LFA= Larceny from Auto 26000 Block of Central Park Blvd. R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property (Hotel) DWLS= Driving with Suspended License On 04/15/2021 at approx. 9:40pm, Officers were A&B= Assault & Battery dispatched to Hotel in the 26000 Block of Central Park CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct Blvd. for reports of a Domestic Dispute. CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon Officer met with the female victim and Security from NOLOP= No Operator License on Person Hotel. Victim states she is pregnant with her boyfriend’s R/A= Robbery Armed child and she has been with him for approx. 1- year. They RNA= Robbery Not Armed are both currently staying at the Hotel. PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver On today’s date, her boyfriend was upset with her because PPO= Personal Protection Order she took so long to get to the Hotel. When she arrived, he PBT= Preliminary Breath Test started yelling at her and she got scared and ran towards R/P= Reporting Party the hotel lobby and sat down on a rock. Her boyfriend VCSA= Violation Controlled Substance Act followed her and was threatening her and was getting aggressive with her. Security Person for the hotel intervened and told the boyfriend to leave the complex. The boyfriend took victims keys to her 2017 Silver Chevrolet Malibu and left the complex. Victim stated that her boyfriend threatened bodily harm to her several times prior to leaving. The boyfriend called victim while Officers were investigating. Victim put her phone on speaker and Officers heard her boyfriend say, "This is the last time you'll be calling the police on me." & "F you and F the police." He also stated that he knew where all her friends lived and he would be pulling up to their homes.
Victim gathered her things and left. She was advised on CSC 3rd Degree- 1- Arrest how to get a PPO. 04/12/2021 6:00pm Note: There have been numerous other Domestic Related 24000 Block of Northwestern incidents involving the boyfriend. Westhampton reference a Suspicious Incident. R/P stated she stopped at the Gas Station at Evergreen and Northwestern and saw 3 teenage girls. They seemed like they needed help. They were talking with a few older men and it didn't seem right to her. She spoke to the girls and found out they were from Indiana. R/P then called the police. 04/13/2021 17:17 Officers arrived on scene and interviewed the girls. The girls were Greenfield Rd. & Stratford Dr. 13, 16 & 19 Years old. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility.

They prefer to work in darkness because it’s difficult to see them. -Citizens should always be mindful not to leave anything of value in their vehicles. Especially wallets, purses, cash, handguns, cell phones, laptops, jewelry, or anything else of value. If you must leave your handgun in your vehicle it should be kept in a gun lock box that is bolted down in the trunk of the vehicle. At the very least you should try to hide the handgun somewhere that it would be difficult to find. The first place that criminals will look is under the front seat, in the center console or in the glove box.
