Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 01/16/2021 28000 Northwestern U-Haul Truck, Pry On 01/16/2021, several Officers were dispatched to 4:05am (Commercial Bank- ATM) Bars and Tow Bank in the 28000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. on Straps were used report of a B&E in progress. to break into the The alarm company advised there were three ATM Machine. unknown subjects with a U-Haul Truck attempting to steal one of the drive through ATMs. Prior to Officers arrival, they were informed that the suspects fled in the U-Haul Truck. Multiple Southfield Units searched the area with negative results. Officers arrived on scene and observed the ATM Machine to be severally damaged. -Vertical tire marks were left on the pavement across from the ATM from the U-Haul Truck. It’s unknown at the time of this report if anything was taken. Officers are waiting for someone from the bank to see if there is any video surveillance of incident.
From: 01/14/2021 23000 Greenfield Rd. Drive-Thru R/P (Manager) for business arrived to work on 9:00pm (Commercial- Donuts) Window was 01/15/2021 at 5:22am. She discovered forced entry To: 01/15/2021 broken out. into business through the drive thru window and two 5:30am cash register drawers with an undisclosed amount of cash in each were taken. The manager advised that there should be surveillance video of incident but it was not available at the time of report.
01/14/2021 29000 Northwestern Glass window On 01/14/2021 Officers were dispatched to the 29000 4:38am (Commercial- Clothing) adjacent to the Block of Northwestern Highway (Clothing Store) for an front door was alarm. busted out. Upon arrival Officers observed the front window to the left of the front door was smashed out. The front door to the building was still locked. Outside of the store Officers observed a black sweater lying on the ground along with a price tag. Inside the store Officers observed multiple empty racks which appeared to be used to hold clothing. Several articles of clothing were taken. The owner of the business arrived on scene and brought up surveillance video of incident. Officers observed a black vehicle in the parking lot outside the store around 4:34am. The vehicle was either a sedan or possibly a small SUV. The vehicle backed in towards the front of the store. Once the vehicle came to a stop, three suspects entered the store through the broken window. They began grabbing as much clothing as they could and loaded it into their vehicle. There was a fourth suspect that stayed inside the vehicle. Suspect Descriptions: Suspect#1 Heavy set younger male. possibly early 20s. wearing black jacket with the hood up and face covered. sweat pants. gloves on. Suspect#2 Medium build younger male, possibly early 20s. grey and black jacket appearing to be North Face. loose/baggy pants. face covered and wearing gloves.
Suspect#3 Medium build younger male, possibly early 20s. grey jacket with black markings on it. Had his hood up and a hat on underneath. black pants. wearing gloves. Suspect#4 No description. Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details Status 01/11/2021 20000 Civic Center Dr. S - Stolen R/P states he parked his vehicle at his Apartment 12:02am (Apartments) Manufacturer Complex in the 20000 Block of Civic Center Dr. at Dodge Inc.# 21/0964 Model 7:00pm on 01/10/2021. Charger RT Color R/P was awoken at 12:00am the following RED - Red Vehicle Year morning to his vehicle being started up. R/P went 2014 Body Style outside and noticed glass on the ground where 4D - 4 Door his vehicle had been parked. State Iowa Surveillance video from complex showed victims License Year 2020 vehicle leaving the complex with a black sedan, Description 2014 Dodge Charger possibly an older model Dodge Charger following closely behind it. Status 01/12/2021 24000 Telegraph Rd. RS – Recovered Stolen Employee for Car Rental advised the vehicle was 9:44am (Commercial- Leasing) Manufacturer dropped off on 01/11/2021 at approx. 4:00pm by CHEVROLET Model Lessee. She advised employee she had the MALIBU Color vehicle entered as stolen because "her friends BLK - Black Vehicle Year played a prank on her." 2020 Body Style Vehicle was taken out of Lein and entering 4D - 4 Door Department was advised. State MI License Year 2021 Description Black 2021 Chevrolet Malibu Status 01/14/2021 25000 W Twelve Mile Rd. S - Stolen Victim states sometime between 12:00am- 9:15am (Apartments) Manufacturer 8:30am someone broke out the rear passenger DODGE Model window on his 2020 Dodge Charger to enter the CHARGER Color vehicle and then stole the vehicle. WHI - White Vehicle Year There was broken glass where the vehicle was 2020 Body Style State parked. No suspect information. MI Description Tinted windows with black wheels.
Status 01/15/2021 21000 Melrose Ave. A – Attempt Auto Theft R/P advises she heard a loud vehicle outside her 4:51pm (Commercial Business) Manufacturer workplace. She looked outside her window and GMC Model saw a Dark Red Older Model Trailblazer backed in ENVOY Color next to her vehicle. BLK - Black Vehicle Year When she looked out a second time she 2006 Body Style State observed her driver’s door open and someone is MI standing "almost in" her car. R/P banged on the License Year 2020 window and ran to the front door. The suspect Description Black 2006 Envoy got into the passenger side of the suspect vehicle and it sped off. Suspect Descriptions: Two unknown suspects. One was wearing a light brown puffy coat. Suspect Vehicle Description: Older Model Dark Red Trailblazer with tint all the way around. Loud muffler. Note: Royal Oak PD put out a BOL via LEIN that they had a LFA at Woodward/Ten Mile. There were two suspects and the suspect vehicle was an Older Model Red Trailblazer. Appears to be the same suspects and vehicle.
Status 01/13/2021 17000 Northland Park Ct. S - Stolen R/P states that sometime on 01/13/2021 6:42pm (Commercial- Medical) Manufacturer between 4:00pm- 6:20pm someone stole her GMC Model mother’s Red 2004 GMC Envoy. R/P is caring for ENVOY Color her mother and is driving the vehicle. RED - Red Vehicle Year The vehicle was parked at medical office building 2004 Body Style State in the 17000 Block of Northland Park Ct. when it MI was taken. No suspect information. License Year 2018 Description 2004 GMC ENVOY RED Status 01/15/2021 23000 Carriage Hill Rd. S - Stolen Victim states he parked his 2018 Dark Green 10:38am (Apartments) Manufacturer Dodge Charger in his carport at his Apartment DODGE Model Complex in the 23000 Block of Carriage Hill Rd. CHARGER Color on 01/14/2021 at 9:10pm. DGR - Dark Green He discovered his vehicle missing the following Vehicle Year morning at 10:30am. There was broken glass on 2018 Body Style the ground indicating the driver’s side rear 4D - 4 Door State window had been broken out. MI No suspect information. License Year 2021 Description OLIVE GREEN 2018 DODGE CHARGER
Status 01/16/2021 27000 Northwestern Hwy. RS – Recovered Stolen Officer was on routine patrol at hotel in the 3:07am (Hotel) Manufacturer 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. DODGE Model Officer observed a Black Dodge Challenger CHALLENGER Color (unoccupied) with no license plate attached and Vehicle Year 2018 the rear passenger side window was broken out. Body Style State MI Further inspection of the vehicle and running the Description Vin# revealed that the vehicle was reported Black 2018 Dodge Challenger stolen by Roseville PD. The vehicle was confirmed stolen and recovered. Roseville PD was notified of the recovery. No suspect information.
Status 01/15/2021 16000 North Park Dr. SR - Both Stolen and R/P advises he rented a 2019 Maroon Chrysler 11:16am (Apartments) Recovered 300 from Leasing Company on 01/12/2021. Manufacturer CHRYSLER R/P parked and locked the vehicle at his Model 300 Apartment Complex in the 16000 Block of North Color MAR - Park Dr. Maroon or On 01/15/2021 sometime between 12:01am- Burgundy Vehicle Year 10:00am someone stole the vehicle. 2019 Body Style State On 01/16/2021 SPD Dispatch was notified by MI DPD that the vehicle was recovered in their city. SR - Both Stolen and R/P for Car Rental states the White 2020 Dodge 12:05pm (Commercial- Car Rental) Recovered Durango was rented by suspect on 10/06/2020 Manufacturer DODGE and was to be returned no later than Model DURANGO 11/06/2020. Color WHI - White The vehicle was recovered by Metro Airport Vehicle Year Police on 01/16/2021 at approx. 10:02am. 2020 Body Style The keys were in the vehicle and the plate is still 4D - 4 Door State attached. Suspect (Lessee) has been identified MI and incident is under investigation. A – Attempt Stolen Victim states her 2007 Jeep Liberty was parked at 10:00am (Apartments) Manufacturer her apartment complex in the 29000 Block of JEEP To: 01/17/2021 Model Pointe O Woods Dr. LIBERTY 9:30am Color Sometime between 01/15/2021 10:00am- BLK - Black Vehicle Year 01/17/2021 9:30am someone broke out the rear 2007 Body Style State passenger window and attempted to steal the MI vehicle. There was damage to the steering License Year Description column, ignition and there were wires hanging. Black 2007 Jeep Liberty No suspect information.
Status 01/17/2021 25000 W Twelve Mile Rd. A- Attempt Stolen Victim states on 01/17/2021 he looked out of his 12:13pm (Apartments) Manufacturer apartment window and noticed his Silver 2017 JEEP Model Jeep Liberty had been slightly moved out of the LIBERTY Color parking spot he had parked it the previous night. SIL - Silver or Aluminum When he went out to the vehicle he observed the Vehicle Year driver side rear window had been broken out and 2007 Body Style the steering column and ignition to the vehicle 4D - 4 Door State was damaged. No suspect information. MI License Year 2021 Description Silver 2007 Jeep Liberty Status 01/13/2021 23000 Norcrest Dr. I – Attempt Stolen Victim states he heard his car alarm going off in 2:47am Manufacturer CHEVROLET the driveway to his 2006 Black Chevrolet Model Trailblazer. R/P went outside and observed two TRAILBLAZER Color suspects running w/b on Norcrest Dr. BLK - Black Vehicle Year The suspects were in dark clothing and entered 2006 Body Style State an unknown sedan that was waiting on Norcrest MI Dr. Vehicle left w/b on Norcrest Dr. License Year 2021 R/P observed his rear driver side window sill trim Description BLK 06 CHEVY pried open. Suspects gained entry through the TRAILBLAZER window and unlocked the doors. Suspects punched the ignition, but were scared off by the audible alarm. Tips: ❖ Never leave your vehicle running unattended ❖ Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible ❖ Use commercially available security devices
Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status 01/11/2021 24000 W Ten Mile Rd. S - Stolen Officers were dispatched to the 24000 Block of W 4:17am (Health Care) Description Ten Mile Rd. regarding a LFA in progress. 4- Catalytic Converters taken from buses. R/P, (bus driver) stated he observed 2 B/M's in the parking lot with flashlights. The suspects were looking around the busses in the lot. R/P did not see the suspects take anything from the busses or hear any tools being used. R/P yelled at the suspects and they jumped the South wall leading to a nearby Apartment Complex. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspects. Officers discovered that four busses had their catalytic converters taken. Officers recovered two Saw Zaw Blades on the step of one of the busses.
Status 01/12/2021 25000 W Eight Mile Rd S - Stolen/ Victim states she had just parked her car at her 2:22am (Apartments) Description apartment complex when her ex-boyfriend Michigan License Plate was taken from 2007 Chevy Impala. pulled in behind her car and took her license plate. Victim was scared, she locked her vehicle and called 911. After removing the license plate the suspect walked around to the driver’s door window and started hitting the window with a car jack handle. The suspect then threw the car jack handle on the front windshield and he left the area. Victim reported that she found her plate lying next to her vehicle later in the day at 12:00pm. It was confirmed that R/P has a valid PPO in Lein v’s her ex-boyfriend stemming from several other complaints in the past. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Status From: 01/11/2021 18000 W Nine Mile Rd. S - Stolen Victim states sometime between 9:00am – 9:00am (Multi Office Building) Description 6:00pm someone cut off the catalytic converter Catalytic Converter was taken To: 01/11/2021 from Honda CRV. from her 2008 Honda CRV. 6:00pm No suspect information.
Status 01/13/2021 27000 Franklin Rd. S - Stolen Surveillance video shows the suspect walking in 12:33pm (Apartments) Description the s/w hallway of the building. Suspect entered Laundry vending card machine was removed from the wall. the building through the s/w side door which was It’s unknown how much cash was left ajar. in the machine? Suspect: B/M, 30-40 years old, 5'-10”-6'-0”, medium complexion, heavy set, black winter hat, black mask, brown plaid jacket, dark gloves, dark pants, dark shoes. Suspect walks to the front lobby and is observed prying the Laundry System" vending card machine from the wall. The machine accepts credit/debit and cash bills to dispense laundry cards so residence can access the laundry machines. Suspect can be seen carrying the machine over his shoulder and leaving the building. Investigation is on-going. Status From: 01/13/2021 26000 Telegraph Rd. S - Stolen R/P for business advises sometime between 5:00pm (Commercial- Car Rental) Description 01/13/2021 5:00pm- 01/14/2021 8:30am Steering Wheel Airbag was taken To: 01/14/2021 from 2020 Chevrolet Malibu. someone broke out driver’s door window on one 8:30am of their vehicles and took the steering wheel air bag. There is no suspect information.

S - Stolen Victim states he parked his truck in the parking 11:26am (Commercial- Home Description lot at business in the 29000 Block of Southfield Stolen Catalytic Converter from To: 01/12/2021 Goods) 2004 Ford Super Duty P.U. Truck. Rd. He was in the business between 11:26am- 11:34am 11:34am. When he came back out to his truck he discovered that someone had cut off the catalytic converter from his truck. No suspect information. Status 01/15/2021 26000 Franklin Rd. S - Stolen Victim states she discovered her license plate 7:15pm (Apartments- Senior Living) Description had been taken on 01/15/2021. Victim hasn’t Stolen License Plate from a 2019 Nissan Altima. driven the car in three weeks so she is unsure when the plate was taken. The vehicle was parked at Apartments Complex in the 26000 Block of Franklin Rd. No suspect information.
Status 01/11/2021 26000 W Eight Mile Rd. S - Stolen Suspect came in to business (Automotive Repair) 1:26pm (Commercial- Auto Repair) Description to get an engine replaced on her Range Rover. Engine Replacement for Land (Civil Matter) Rover. The suspect and R/P agreed on a price and a down payment was given to get things started. On 01/11/2021, suspect came in to pick the vehicle up with another unknown B/M. The suspect convinced R/P to let her start the vehicle up but when she did she took off without paying the outstanding amount owed. Suspect was identified and victim was advised because she had had paid for some of the repair already it was not a criminal matter, it was a civil matter. Status From: 01/17/2021 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. S - Stolen Victim states she parked her vehicle at Hospital 6:30am (Hospital) Description in the 16000 Block of W. Nine Mile Rd. She left Grey Purse containing: Cash, To: 01/17/2021 Visa Credit Card, Master Debit her purse in the car. 11:00am Card, Personal Checkbook, SS Sometime between 6:30am- 11:00am someone Card, Insurance Card & Drivers License. Taken from 2008 Grand entered her vehicle and took her purse which Caravan. contained Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, Personal Checkbook, SS Card, Insurance Card & her >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Driver’s License. S - Stolen Officers were initially dispatched to Hotel in the 1:27am (Motel) Description 22000 Block of Telegraph Rd. with the report of a Men’s Wallet containing: (2) Cash App Cards, (1) male who had possibly just had his wallet stolen Unemployment Card, (1) from a female. Michigan ID Card. The R/P stated he had met up with a female (suspect) online via Monospace. He met up with the female, they had some drinks and engaged in >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> consensual sex. Suspect was described as a B/F, shorter, medium to large build, with shoulder-length straight hair (blonde), light-skinned, wearing all yellow jump or track suit. A possible suspect was developed and the investigation is on-going. Status 01/16/2021 27000 Northwestern S - Stolen Victim states she was at Hotel in the 27000 Block 7:10pm (Hotel) Description of Northwestern with a male friend (suspect) Android with Black Case That has Diamonds on It. when they got into a verbal argument. The male friend took her Android Cell Phone and left with it. Officers investigating called victims phone and contacted the suspect. He was advised to return the phone. He never came back with the phone. On 01/18/2021 R/P advised the suspect returned her phone. She doesn’t wish to prosecute.
Status 01/11/2021 27000 Franklin Rd. S - Stolen R/P stated he had received a message that his 12:00pm (Apartments) Description package with a pair of Dior Sneakers had been Package containing White & Blue Dior Sneakers delivered by Common Carrier. R/P checked with his neighbors and the apartment mail room and the package wasn’t located. No suspect information. Status From: 01/12/2021 28000 Willow Ct. S - Stolen Victim states she invited a male friend over. The 11:10pm (Apartments) Description friend arrived around 9:53pm on 01/12/2021. Cash To: 01/13/2021 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> They both smoked some marijuana and she had Status 2:51am S - Stolen one glass of wine. They ended up watching TV on Description Handgun the bed and she fell asleep. When she woke up >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> around 4:36am she discovered that her friend was gone, her handgun was missing from her purse & Cash was missing from the kitchen table. R/P immediately phoned her friend and asked for her handgun back. He hasn’t returned the handgun. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.
Status 01/13/2021 24000 Northwestern S - Stolen Victim states he parked their trailer in the 10:18am (Commercial Business) Manufacturer Model parking lot in the 24000 Block of Northwestern ITCI Color Vehicle Year Hwy. on 01/12/2021 at 4:00pm. He had just 2010 picked up three donated tables that were in the Body Style TR - Trailer trailer. R/P discovered the trailer missing the State MI following morning. Description Detectives conducted follow up investigation and Black Trailer with three donated tables in it. reviewed surveillance video of the trailer being taken. On 01/13/2021 at 7:21am, a Black Pickup Truck enters the parking lot and attaches the trailer to the back of the pickup truck. The Pickup Truck then exits the parking lot at 7:23am. The trailer is described as a black trailer with rusty white wheels. There is "OCS" printed on top of the trailer and Donated by Bank of America" in red and blue writing, printed on both sides of the trailer. Status 01/14/2021 26000 W Twelve Mile S - Stolen On 01/14/2021 UPS dropped off a package 12:00pm (Apartments) Description containing 1- iPhone 11 for victim. Black I Phone 11 Victim discovered that someone had opened the package and stole the phone. No suspect information.
Status 01/11/2021 15000 Providence Dr. S - Stolen Victim states that her neighbor and son came 4:21pm (Apartments) Description over to her apartment to hang out while they Blue Wallet containing Cash, SS Card, Credit Card, Driver’s exterminated her apartment. License & Health Card. After a couple hours of sitting together R/P got up to use the restroom. When she returned the neighbors son suddenly got up and stated he needed to leave and left in a hurry. Approx. 20 minutes after the son left R/P discovered her wallet was missing from her purse. R/P’s purse was on a chair next to where her neighbor’s son was sitting. The suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Tips: ❖ Ensure your vehicle is locked always and valuables are out of sight. ❖ Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly ❖ Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked
Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status 01/15/2021 27000 Northwestern S - Stolen Victim states that two vehicles pulled up in the 7:05am (Hotel) Description Hotel parking lot while she was sitting in her Black Purse Containing Some Cash and Credit Cards & a Black vehicle. They blocked her in and several persons Jacket were taken. surrounded her vehicle. One of the subjects was holding a handgun down to his side. There was one female acquaintance that R/P recognized. This female pulled her by her hair, out of her vehicle, and onto the ground. She was assaulted by several persons. R/P stated the suspects rifled through her vehicle and stole: her purse (including her license and credit cards) and a black jacket. Someone also sliced two of her tires on her rental vehicle. R/P advised Officers that she was accused of stealing a rifle. It was later said that the rifle was possibly an AR-15 type weapon. Several persons were interviewed. Information was gathered that the victim was at another hotel earlier in Dearborn where the AR-15 was taken. The female and another male were suspected of taking the AR-15. Some of the suspects at the hotel in Southfield were believed to have fled in a Gray or Blue Chrysler 300. The investigation is on-going. Special Attention: B&E of Drive Thru ATM Machine: 01/16/2021 4:05am 28000 Block of Northwestern (Bank- ATM) On 01/16/2021, several Officers were dispatched to the Bank in the 28000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. on report of a B&E in progress. The alarm company advised there were three unknown subjects with a U-Haul Truck attempting to steal one of the drive through ATMs. Prior to Officers arrival, they were informed that the suspects fled in the U-Haul Truck. Multiple Southfield Units searched the area with negative results. Officers arrived on scene and observed the ATM Machine to be severally damaged. Vertical tire marks were left on the pavement across from the ATM from the U-Haul Truck. It’s unknown at the time of this report if anything was taken. Officers are waiting for someone from the bank to see if there is any video surveillance of incident. Suspect: Market B&E
Special Attention: LFA/ UDAA- Suspect & Suspect Vehicle Information: 01/15/2021 4:51pm 21000 Block of Melrose Ave. (Commercial Business) R/P advises she heard a loud vehicle outside her workplace. She looked outside her window and saw a Dark Red Older Model Trailblazer backed in next to her vehicle. When she looked out a second time she observed her driver’s door open and someone is standing "almost in" her car. R/P banged on the window and ran to the front door. The suspect got into the passenger side of the suspect vehicle and it sped off. Victim discovered column damage on her 2006 GMC Envoy. Suspect Descriptions: Two unknown suspects. One was wearing a light brown puffy coat. Suspect Vehicle Description: Older Model Dark Red Trailblazer with tint all the way around. Loud muffler. Note: Royal Oak PD put out a BOL via LEIN that they had a LFA at Woodward/Ten Mile. Suspect vehicle was an Older Model Red Trailblazer They have video of two suspects. No further description. Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility.
