Our office is located in Millers Point, Sydney. We accommodate a mix of office based and remote work. Qualifications and Experience Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Communications, required Marketing or equivalent field. At least five (5) years’ experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns. Other information • Ability to work in a small dynamic team • Required to be highly flexible as campaign demands fluctuate at peak times • Subject to a Police Check and Working with Children Check • An interest and passion for suicide prevention Primary Purpose The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and activities across a portfolio of targeted campaign settings. The role oversees the development, production and release of resources and assets aligned with the overall marketing plan and consistent with the R U OK? mission and values. The role demands creativity, resourcefulness and hands-on tactical execution. Crucial to the role is a strong marketing background and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise impact and engagement. Key Performance Indicators Measures 1. Team through proactive collaboration and professional courtesy Responsibilities The responsibilities of this role include: • Ensure marketing campaigns reach the target audience with content that educates, empowers and inspires meaningful conversations • Develop, implement and optimise integrated marketing plans for new and existing campaigns in workplace, education and community settings • Manage the creative development and production of campaign resources • Ensure marketing creative and resources adhere to the R U OK? tone of voice, style guide and brand guidelines and comply with usability, accessibility and best practice guidelines • Identify and nurture audiences and develop user journeys to increase active engagement • Establish processes to collect activity data to report and evaluate all marketing activities • Utilise metrics and insights to inform creative briefs, media briefs, channel mix and effective campaign user journeys • Work with the COO to review marketing strategy in line with social impact measurement framework • Collaborate with subject matter experts and lived experience advisors to increase the relevance and impact of marketing activities • Maintain strong professional relationships with pro/low bono partners and supporters to increase campaign reach and engagement • Assist the COO to manage relationships with contractors, agencies and suppliers • Work with the Digital Engagement Manager to amplify and align campaign messaging across digital and social media channels, and secure approvals for resources and assets • Provide marketing support for the planning and execution of R U OK? owned events • Assist with the operation and moderation of online channels as required • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with media and creative agencies, suppliers, sector partners and external stakeholders • Maintain relationships and collaborations with mental health and suicide prevention sector • Support wider team efforts regarding international enquiries • Ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget • Work cohesively within a small team dynamic to support year-round R U OK? activity 2
• Represent R U OK? at relevant meetings, forums and events • Other tasks as required from time to time Reporting Requirements When Campaign tracking and evaluation As required Impact Measurement report Annually Incident report of injury (OH&S) Within 2 hours of incident Relevant sections for Annual Report Annually Relevant sections for Board Report Quarterly Relevant sections for Government and funders As required Work in Progress (WIP) meetings Weekly Selection Criteria The successful candidate is expected to have skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas (please give a relevant example to demonstrate your capability): • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Advertising or equivalent field • Minimum five years direct experience leading integrated marketing campaigns (health promotion or behaviour change environment desirable) • Advanced marketing and communications skills • Ability to execute brand toolkit and style guide • Advanced written and verbal communication skills • Advanced organisational and project management skills with impeccable attention to detail and the ability to develop goals and plans and allocate resources accordingly to prioritise and track work to meet deadlines • Ability to identify and appropriately manage risk and sensitive stakeholder issues • An appreciation for the diverse range of R U OK? audiences e.g. culturally and linguistically diverse, vulnerable communities, those experiencing sensory loss, etc. • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate and develop relationships with a diverse range of both internal and external stakeholders and suppliers • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM use (Salesforce) • Demonstrated experience using marketing platforms including email marketing (Pardot preferred) and social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and others • Ability to execute marketing plans that are culturally safe and appropriate and that reflect the diversity of the Australian community • Ability to support and encourage the team’s performance to achieve outcomes • Cultural fit with the values and mission of R U OK?
