●   Sponsor Program
●   Extracurriculars (140 and counting)
●   Company Wardroom Programs
●   Intramurals (2,500 Midshipmen,150 teams, 3,500+ games per season)
●   Movement Orders, Excusals, Brigade Logistics (i.e. Army-Navy Football)
●   Formal Parades, Noon Meal Formation, Color Guard, etc.
●   Pep Rallys, Brigade Concerts, Super Bowl Parties (MWF, MAO)
●   2/C Parents Weekend, Commissioning Week, Delayed Graduations, PARKING, etc
●   VIP Visits to King Hall, Large Group Visits, etc
●   State Funerals, Presidential Inaugurations, Service Academy Visits (400+ guests), etc
●   Anything dealing with your Mids…

Mission of the U.S. Naval Academy

                   To develop Midshipmen
           morally, mentally and physically
     and to imbue them with the highest ideals of
               duty, honor and loyalty
         in order to graduate leaders who are
      dedicated to a career of naval service and
       have potential for future development in
                  mind and character
       to assume the highest responsibilities of
       command, citizenship and government.

Purpose

“The Plebe Sponsor program exists for the benefit of both Plebes
and sponsors. It provides 4/C Midshipmen an opportunity to meet
members of the local community in a social setting, and to represent
the United States Naval Academy in the public eye.”
“The relationship between Plebes and Sponsors provides a relaxing
and comfortable atmosphere not normally found during Plebe Year.”

Many of these relationships last a lifetime.

Sponsors

●   Active Duty / Retired Military Personnel
●   USNA Faculty and Staff
●   Civilians in the local area, ~35 mile radius.
●   ~2,400 active, registered sponsor families
●   1,215 members of the Class of 2021 have been assigned sponsors
     ● Manual matching by Rose and her team
●   Initial and Annual Background Check conducted on ALL sponsors

Expectations?
●   A place to relax away from Bancroft Hall

●   A “Home Away From Home.”

●   Friendships that transcend Plebe Year.

●   Food!

What is expected of Sponsors…
●   Officially register through Sponsor Program Coordinator.
●   Attend Initial and Follow On Training (every three years)
●   Maintain up-to-date contact information with Sponsor Program Coord.
●   Keep an eye on our Mids
●   Receive an annual security background check
●   Understand USNA rules and set their own
     ● Liberty (Times and Uniform)
     ● Alcohol
     ● Visitation rules (who, when, how long, etc)
     ● Driving

●   Sponsor Meet & Greet
    – First Week in August during Plebe Summer

●   Monthly Newsletter
    – Lists pertinent USNA events open to the public

●   Sponsor Appreciation Week
    –   Appreciation Dinner in King Hall (March)
    –   Brigade Choice (Buffalo Chicken)
    –   Serve 4,000+ within 5 minutes
    –   Sponsor use of Midstore
