founder's welcome It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Peart’s Montessori. Many years ago I was a student at a Montessori school, where I developed a lifelong love of learning. I founded Peart’s to offer that same opportunity to a new generation of children. The school motto, Creating Our Future, reflects my belief that the best way to invest in our future is to invest in our children. This begins with our staff community. I welcome colleagues of all backgrounds who are able to bring team spirit, enthusiasm and the highest educational standards to Peart’s. Chenaara Edghill-Peart Founder of Peart’s Montessori May 2020 "Leadership on the other hand is about creating change that you believe in." Seth Godin montessori philosophy Maria Montessori founded her Casa dei Bambini (Children’s House) in 1907. It is a prepared environment where children learn through purposeful, sensorial activities. Teachers act to direct children to activities, hence the formal title of directress or director. Peart’s is an authentic Montessori setting. By following the spirit and practice of Maria, Peart’s aims to give children a safe space in which to love learning, think critically and, be open to the wonders of the world. As a former Montessori child and, second-generation Montessori directress, our Founder carries these aims deep in her heart and at the forefront of decisions for the setting. "There is an infinite field of discovery open to the child in his environment." Dr Maria Montessori 1
