FUNCTIONS AT A GLANCE Intelligent Voltage Guard Intelligent Voltage Guard is an innovative prevention mechanism that constantly monitors the mains voltage at the control gear to protect it against possible damage due to overvoltage or undervoltage for example in the event of a neutral conductor break. If the mains voltage is too low the lamp circuit is automatically disconnected to protect the control gear from being irreparably damaged. If the voltage is too high, the lamps start flashing. The installer can then immediately do something about the overvoltages which would otherwise sooner or later lead to failure of the ECG. Smart-heating concept Improved lamp management means perfect lighting solutions with preheat times of only 0.5 s, dimming to 1 % luminous flux for all T5 fluorescent lamps and high-speed fade rates for up to 20 brightness values per second – ideal for sound and light applications. The "smart heating" concept controls electrode heating. This not only increases the life of the lamp thanks to a reduced load on the lamp filaments, but also reduces the connected load as there is a saving on heating the filaments. Service functions When integrated in building management systems, PCA T5 EXCEL one4all lp simplifies setup and mainten- ance. Important setup and service information, such as type designation, production job or firmware version, can be retrieved directly via the digital interface. Intelligent Temperature Guard The "Intelligent Temperature Guard" monitors the temperature of the PCA T5 EXCEL one4all lp control gear and protects it against thermal damage. The ECG is dimmed or switched off before it reaches the damage threshold so the temperature in the luminaire can fall. Each time this happens the event is stored and can be queried via the digital interface. Functions for emergency lighting mode warm Because of the extremely short starting time of only 0.2 s in dc emergency lighting mode, PCA T5 EXCEL one4all 0,5 sec. start lp is ideal for use in hazardous areas in which a time to light of 0.5 s is needed.
