PARKS MAKE LIFE BETTER! ASHFORD’S POMPEY HOLLOW PARK 2021 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES,TUESDAYS 6:30-8:00 (860-487-4409) Ashford Parks & Recreation, is pleased to present … JULY 6th CENTER LINE Our first concert was a stormy rain out! Fortunately, you wont miss out on this great band. We were able to rebook Center Line for Family Day on Sunday, September 19th 2:00—4:00. JULY 13th SHADED SOUL BAND This band is back again by popular demand! Their music spans many decades and their versatile range includes R & B, Motown, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Swing, Rock, Pop, Disco and Top 40! They are high energy with a flair for sophistication and style. Audiences grade them a triple A+. They know how to bring the party; It will not be a quiet night in the quiet corner tonight! The food provider this evening is Living Proof Church and they will be serving Pizza from Midway Restaurant and Sno-Cones. JULY 20th THE GREAT GARAGE BAND REUNION This 10 piece show band plays the best hits from the 60’s and & 70’s. They also feature a great horn section and are well known for their fundraising ef- forts. Their support for local charities earned them the honor of Citizen of The Year Awards in Killingly. They have opened for the Lovin Spoonful, The Cowsills, America, and The Beach Boys. This band has Salvatore Averna and his grandson Luke Conklin both from Ashford and will also feature Ed Peabody on the harmonica on 7/20. Come Join the Reunion! Parks and Recreation will serve their BBQ this evening with pulled pork sand- wiches, coleslaw, corn on the cob, ice tea, lemonade & dessert! (12 and under). Tickets are $9 for adults, $6 for kids under 12. Dinner is served from 5:30-7:00 pm. Call A.P.R.C. to reserve tickets by noon on 7/19. JULY 27th THE KERRY BOYS This Trio is best known as Connecticut’s Favorite Irish Balladeers. Their humorous, high energy show will have you clapping and singing along in no time engaging you from start to finish. The Kerry Boys are Mark James, originally from the County Kerry Ireland, Pierce Campbell from Prospect, CT, and Tony Pasqualoni from Hamden, filling in is Paul Neri from Clinton They have a broad reper- toire of traditional and original songs performed with pristine harmonies and expressive guitar backed up with mandolin and bass. You’ll know you have the Luck of the Irish in Ashford tonight! The menu tonight is brought to you by the Democratic Town Committee: Kielbasa , Baked Beans, Sauerkraut, Garden Salad, Cookies, Iced Tea and Lemonade. AUGUST 3rd ROCK SOLID ALIBI Features music from artists such as Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Paul Simon, Billy Idol, Van Halen, Stevie Wonder, The Cars and more, They also released their debut album called FLY in 2017. It contains 8 original songs aired on several radio stations and N.E. Indie Spotify Playlists.
