National Doctor's Day was celebrated by our GTCS Jr Kg Kids today. They learnt the importance and duties of doctors and nurses and thanked them for their relentless work during this COVID-19 pandemic. The kids enjoyed various sessions like learning about different types of specialized doctors and their duties, the tools used and also enjoyed making crafts on this occasion. Hats off to the young learners and parents for their involvement and encouragement. THE BEATS
International Plastic bag free day: To raise awareness about the burning issue of 'Plastic Pollution', "International Plastic Bag Free Day" is celebrated each year on July 3. Our Grade 2 students made their own paper bag and took initiative to make our planet plastic-free. THE BEATS
World chocolate day is observed on 7th July. The celebration of this day includes the consumption of chocolate, of course! The West African country, Ghana, the 2nd largest producer of cacao celebrates Chocolate day on Feb 14th. Chocolate when eaten in moderation has proven to be quite beneficial for health, too. Whether it's hot chocolate, a chocolate candy bar, chocolate cake, brownies, or anything covered in chocolate, this day is truly for chocolate lovers! THE BEATS

World Population Day is an annual event, observed on July 11 every year, which seeks to raise awareness about global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programmed in 1989. July 22 is Pi Approximation Day. Also known as Casual Pi Day, the day is dedicated to the mathematical constant pi (π). Celebrate pi (π) by eating lots of pie. Pi denotes the relationship between a circle's circumference and its diameter and is denoted by the fraction 22/7 which calculates approximately to 3.14. Students wrote poems, they made art work and greeting cards. They also wrote lists of words that begin with 'Pi'. They are all as sweet as 'pi' because pi has infinite numbers. THE BEATS

"Love and support of parents can get a child anywhere and everywhere in Life". Jr Kg kids celebrated this parents day by doing an activity with their parents and thanked their mom and dad for their guidance ,care and affection all through their life. They wanted to know that their parents are the best parents in the world. THE BEATS
“A day in a year is not enough to be thankful for the sacrifices our parents make 365 days in a year. “ “Parents’ Day !“ – 26th July, 2020 (4th Sunday) – A day to appreciate all parents for their selfless commitment to children and their lifelong sacrifice towards nurturing this relationship. The special bond of love between parents and their children is celebrated on this super special day. Senior Kindergartners expressed their gratitude to their parents and shared few photos. THE BEATS
International cake day is celebrated on 20th July. How does one celebrate this day? Of course, by baking different types of cakes and spending time feasting on these delicious treats, with family and friends. Kids spent a long day at the kitchen experimenting with different ingredients and concoctions to create a scrumptious cake. The outcome definitely looks irresistible! THE BEATS
Emotions are feelings. Our feelings change from moment to moment depending on what's going on around us at home or with our friends. Early learners are known for expressing their feelings and emotions and when they are categorized to them will reflect on a time when they have felt each of the emotions listed , such as sad, happy, excited, angry and peace. The Junior kg kids were encouraged to create drawings to illustrate those feelings with the help of Emoji's. Then they illustrated it with their cute facial expressions . This activity helped kids build vital emotional awareness, mindfulness, and communication skills. THE BEATS

Senior Kindergartners were so enthusiastic about performing these activities. Handling pegs (wooden / plastic)/binder clips : Kids were absolutely thrilled by the idea of grasping the peg and successfully fixing it on a sheet of paper, plate, ruler , book and pencil box. They were so curious to press open the peg using their thumb finger and index finger. They enjoyed the challenge of successfully manipulating the pegs. The peg require a precise grip and depending on how the child handles the peg, it will result in different posture of the peg on the object. Folding paper : Paper folding for Kindergartners is a fascinating fine motor activity and creative craft. Kids get a real sense of satisfaction. They also get to learn how to follow instructions. Step by step instructions were given to follow and to fold a A4 sheet .To gently press the edges of the sheets after each fold which will result in creating an impressions that is visible when the sheet of paper is unfolded completely. Kids happily performed the activity and were delighted to see the rectangle shaped boxes all over the sheet created by pressing the edges of the sheet. THE BEATS

The tiger is the largest of the world’s big cats and this magnificent creature, with its distinctive orange and black stripes and beautifully marked face, has a day that is dedicated to it. 29th of July , International Tiger Day. The aim of the day is to save tigers from different threats they face like poaching, conflict with humans, and habitat loss. Gateway The Complete School, Junior and Senior Kindergartners were explained about the importance of tigers in our community and they all joined hands to form the phrase“ SAVE THE TIGERS “. THE BEATS
GATEWAY THE COMPLETE SCHOOL, on 29th July 2020, celebrated International Tiger Day. The celebration was organized to raise awareness about the conservation of tigers. The day is held annually on July 29. Pertinently, July 29 was earmarked as International Tiger Day in 2010 at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit to protect the natural habitats of tiger and to raise public awareness besides support for tiger conservation issues. A special virtual assembly was organized wherein Principal, Coordinator, Teachers, and Students of Grade 9 – 12 were briefed about the significance of the day by our Guest speaker of the day Ms. Radha Sharma.
