NOTICE OF RACE International 505 Class 2022 World Championship & Pre-Worlds Regatta Cork, Ireland 03-13 August 2022 The organizing authority (OA) is the Royal Cork Yacht Club https://www.int505.org/2022-world-championship-cork/ ALL TIMES ARE BRITISH SUMMER TIME
1. DEFINITIONS 1.1 Event The term event refers to the organised 505 on-water and off-water activities taking place at the Royal Cork Yacht Club premises or adopted premises from 3rd August 2022 to 13th August 2022. 5. FEES 5.1 Entry forms must be completed by all competitors 5.2 Early entry Fee is €500 up to April 18th 2022, this rises to €600 up to June 18th 2022 and a late entry of €750 will be accepted up until August 1st 2022 at the discretion of the OA. A 50% discount applies for Youth Teams (both team members born on or after 3 August 1997) 5.3 Entry Fees will only be accepted at the event website 6. 13.2 Support boat drivers must identify those competitors they are supporting when registering with the Organising Authority. 13.3 Support boats with team leaders, coaches and other support personnel shall stay outside areas where boats are racing from the time of the preparatory signal for the first fleet to start until all boats have finished or the Race Committee signals a postponement, general recall or abandonment. (Outside areas where boats are racing also includes areas where support boats and competitors’ boats will affect the wind conditions of boats still racing, especially at the finish.) 8. (b) When four to eight races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. (c) When nine or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores. 13. SUPPORT BOATS 13.1 All support boats shall be registered by the Organising Authority and will be required to comply with local legislation and event support boat regulations. The Organising Authority may refuse registrations and accept later registrations at their sole discretion. Registration will be available on the event website by August 1st 2022. 17.3.2 They are responsible for the safety of themselves, their crew, their boat and their property whether afloat or ashore; 17.3.3 They have a responsibility to familiarise themselves with any risks specific to this venue or this event and to attend any safety briefing held at the venue 17.3.4 They accept responsibility for any injury, damage or loss to the extent caused by their own actions or omissions; 17.3.5 Their boat is in good order, equipped to sail in the event and they are fit to participate; 17.3.6 The provision of a race management team, patrol boats and other officials and volunteers by the event organiser does not relieve them of their own responsibilities. 14.
