Imperia July 10th – 11th – 12th, 2020
NOTICE OF RACE
1. ORGANIZING AUTHORITY
The Federazione Italiana Vela (FIV) witch delegates the Yacht Club Imperia, Via Scarincio, 146, 18100
Imperia IM. Tel. 0183 63 788 – e-mail: office@ycim.it, with the cooperation of Lega Navale di Imperia.
Lungomare delle Nazioni, area Porto Turistico
2. VENUE and SCHEDULE OF THE EVENT
The races will be held in the sea area in front of the Imperia town, by following schedule:
- July 10th, 2020 completion of registrations between 09:00 am and 11:00 am
first warning signal 13:30 am

- July 11 , 2020 first warning signal 11:00 am

- July 12 , 2020 first warning signal 10:30 am
prize giving ASAP after the races
The time of the firs warning signal of the following racing day may to be changed by a notice posted in the
Official Notice Board before 7:00 pm of the precedent day; without such notice the time of the first
warning time will be as above.
No warning signal will be displayed after 1:30 pm of the July 12th, 2019.
3. RULES
3.1 The races will be held by the rules as definite by the WS Racing Rules 2017-2020, included the
prescriptions of the FIV approved by WS, see: http://www.sailing.org/tools/documents/20172020ITAPrescriptions-[22391].pdf
3.2 In case of conflict between the NOR and the present SI, the SI will take precedence, as modification of
RRS 67.3.
3.3 Class Rule 13.30 will not apply.
3.4 As per regulation 20 WS. The boats will be asked to show the advertising supplied by the OA.4. COMMUNICATIONS TO THE COMPETITORS All communications to the competitors and between the competitors to OA or RC or Jury will have to be done in exclusivity, also in compliance with sanitary regulations en force, using the site web: www.racingrulesofssailing.org, included ONB which will be virtual. For furthers instructions see SI. For to guarantee such communications the attached entry form has to be completely filled included the phone number and the mail address of each crew member. 5. ELEGIBILITY 5.1 Will be admitted to the event all the boats with a valid measurement certificate of the Dragon Class 5.2 The Italian owner shall have to be member of the Italian Dragon Class Association 5.3 The Italian competitors shall have to be member of FIV with valid medical examination. 5.4 The foreign competitors shall have to be in compliance with the rules of the own National Sailing Federation. 5.5 Each boat shall be insured by a Civil Responsibility Insurance minimal of 1,5 Millions €uro, showing the attached form duly filled, together with the entry form. 6. ENTRIES 6.1 The entries, by the attached entry form, shall have to be sent to the Yacht Club Imperia and registered with a entry fee of 200.00 €uro, before the 11:00 am of July 4th, 2020. Payment exclusively by bank transfer: IBAN: IT56 O 08530 10500 000400101078, Banca D’Alba, beneficiary: Yacht Club Imperia ASD. To specify: entry to Dragon Summer Cup, and sail number. 6.2 Together the entry form, for to complete the registration the competitors shell have to send by e-mail: - FIV member card (see above) - Class member card (see above) - Measurement certificate - Insurance (see above) - advertising FIV license (only for Italians competitors, if one). 6.3 Underage competitors shell have to show the original of the entry form signed by the parent or by the person which will take in charge the liability to permit to him to race, as per RRS 3.1(b). 6.4 To be fast in the registration operations all competitors are requested to supply a photocopy of each above document. 7. SAIL NUMBER All boats shall compete with the same sail number of own measurement certificate. 8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS Will be applied the “Standard SI” as per Appendix S RRS. The “Supplementary SI” will be available to the entered competitors after 09:00 am of July 9th, 2020, and will be posted in the virtual ONB.
9.NUMBER OF RACES
Will be sailed a max of 9 races, max 3 for day.
10.SCORE
The Low Point System will apply as per Appendix A RRS.
With 4 or less races the boat’s race score shall be the total of her race scores. With 5 or more races the
boat’s race score shall be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
11. BOATS AND SUPPORT PERSONS
All support persons shall have to be authorized by filling the registration form available at Race Office,
showing:
1) the characteristics of the own boat
2) the acceptance of the rules applicable for the support persons
3) the names of the competitors supported
The support persons will be subject to the instruction of the Race Committee which will be able to act as
per RRS 64.4.
12. PRIZES
To the First, Second and Third classified.
The prize giving will be held ASAP after race the July 12th, 2020
13. LIABILITY
As per Basic Rule 4 RRS, the participants of this Event are an integral part of their own responsibility and
exclusive responsibility.
The Competitors and their Supporting Persons are the only factors for the decision to take part or to
continue the race. The Organizing Committee, the Race Committee, the Technical Committee, where
present, the Jury and those who are reasonably part of the organization of the event, decline any and all
liability for damages that can be suffered by people and / or things, both on the ground and in water, as a
result of their participation in this event. It is the competence of the Competitors and their support
persons according to their abilities, the strength of the wind, the state of the sea, the weather forecasts,
the conditions of their boat and its equipment and sails, and everything else to be expected from a good
sailor, if you want at sea and participate in the regatta, to continue or to give up.
14. PHOTOGRAPHIC AND TELEVISION RIGHTS
Competitors grant full right to the OA and the Italian Dragon Association (Assodragone) to use for any type
of media the pictures or videos taken during the event.
15. SOCIAL EVENTS
