FY 2021 UCEDD Funding • FY 2021 UCEDD Funding- $42.1 Million • UCEDD Community Based Transition Partnership (CBT) Planning Grants – Congressional Support: University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities – The agreement includes $1,500,000 to support new partnerships between existing UCEDDs and highly qualified, non-profit service providers, to develop models that offer individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and their families with community-based adult transition and daytime services to support independent living. 13
UCEDD Core Awards • Funding for FY 2021 core award is $577,449 for each Center • FY 2021 New Applications- Two UCEDDs will submit their five year core grant applications Due Date: Projected for June 1, 2021 Merit Review: Projected for Week of June 21 • Continuation Fiscal Applications- Due Date: May 1, 2021 Current Status: OGM reports that 70% of UCEDDs completed their continuation applications 14
ACL-CDC Partnership – Increasing Access to COVID-19 Vaccines • ACL will issue nearly $100 Million in grants to aging and disability network with funding support from the CDC • UCEDD program allotted $4 million to conduct a range of vaccination activities to include the following: q Education about the importance of receiving a vaccine; q Helping with scheduling a vaccine appointment; q Arranging accessible transportation; q Providing companion/personal support; q Identifying people unable to independently travel to vaccination site; and/or q Providing technical assistance to local health departments on vaccine accessibility. • Over the next week, a Federal Register Notice posting planned about the funding announcement • UCEDDs will submit a Letter of Assurance to receive funds 15
Disability Employment TA Center • New TA Website - In March, the Disability Employment TA Center was launched: https://aoddisabilityemploymenttacenter.com/ • Grantee Representative Workgroup – There will be an April Meeting to collectively discuss the Environmental Landscape Assessment Report and Strategic Five-Year plan to guide the technical assistance work moving forward. • Community of Practice Webinar- The next webinar (Innovate 2 Motivate) will happen on April 13th from 3:00-4:30 EST. Individuals who are interested in joining can register at: http://bit.ly/DETAC-CoP-Apr-13-2021 • TA Cohort Activities – The first TA cohort will soon be launched with six State Council teams through Results in Systems Excellence (RISE), an e-Learning Community. The six councils will receive TA around the development and implementation of goals in State Plan. 16

Let’s Continue to Innovate Together • Brief overview of the historical approach taken with 56 State DD Councils in Fall of 2020 – COVID-19 Focus of Emphasis – Peer learning occurred • UCEDD Proposal for 2021 -Break out into five to six smaller meetings across the 10 regions between the months of May through November (68 UCEDDs) -Support Teamwork - Share innovative practices and resources • Survey to get your feedback – Shared by AUCD – We want to make sure these sessions are of good value of time for all participants 18
