SECTION 2019 NATIONAL JERSEY SHOW 403 The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair gratefully acknowledges the contributions from Semex Alliance for their overall sponsorship of the Dairy Cattle Shows. COMPETITION INFORMATION Entry Closing Date: Monday October 14, 2019 Entry Fee: $50 per entry Late Entry Fee: Entries after October 14, 2019 - $250 per entry TIME OF ARRIVAL: Tuesday November 5, 2019 5:00 am* TIME OF RELEASE A special thanks to Jersey Canada for its contribution to Out of Province Exhibitors: Saturday November 9, 2019 beginning at 10:00pm the National Jersey Show. Ontario Exhibitors: Sunday November 10, 2019 approximately 4:00pm All Ontario exhibitors must remain stalled until release is announced by the Dairy Cattle Superintendent at 4pm Sunday November 10, 2019. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action. Dairy Cattle Superintendent: Harry Emmott, 519-750-4603 JUDGING INFORMATION Date: Saturday November 9, 2019 Time: 7:30 am – 3:45pm* Location: Semex Ring of Excellence Judge: Pierre Boulet, Montmagny, QC Associate Judge: Richard Landry, Ste Bridgitte des Saults, QC *Note: There will be a 15 minute break following Class 9, Junior Champion and Reserve. * Out-of-province exhibitors can make arrangements to house animals in barns located near Toronto prior to move-in. Contact Harry Emmott for more information. ** Exhibitors with Holstein cattle must be stabled by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Note: It is important that ALL Ontario Dairy Exhibitors maintain their herd display and a clean barn Sunday, November 10th as a marketing opportunity for the Ontario Dairy Industry. Therefore, ALL Ontario Dairy Exhibitors must remain stalled until release is announced by the Dairy Cattle Superintendent at 4pm Sunday. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action. 3

Exhibitors must bring registration certificates to the ring. 17 Female, 4-Year-Old Rosettes Born Sept. 1, 2014 – Aug. 31, 2015 8 Champion 4-H 18 Female, 5-Year-Old 1st and 2nd place 4-H project animals from Classes 1 to 5. 4-H project animals Born Sept. 1, 2013 – Aug. 31, 2014 must be shown by the appropriate 4-H member to be eligible. 9 Junior Champion and Reserve 19 Female, Mature Cow (Classes 1 to 6) Born prior to Sept. 1, 2013 Rosettes 5
SECTION 2019 NATIONAL JERSEY SHOW 403 CLASSES 20 Lifetime Component Class 22 Best Udder Judge shall designate the Best Udder in classes 10 – 14, and 16 – 20, as well as an overall best uddered female. Best udder designates will not be called back for a separate class 21 Breeder’s Herd Rosettes and Prize Money: Champion: $100; Reserve: $75 A group of 3 animals, all with the same prefix All three (3) animals must have the same prefix and have been bred by the 23 Senior Champion Female and Reserve Exhibitor. Exhibitior must own at least a portion of one animal in the group. (Classes 16 to 20) Exhibitors must bring registration certificates to the ring. SECTION 2019 NATIONAL JERSEY SHOW 403 SPECIALS The Gilbert and Graham Robison Memorial Trophy (Perpetual) Shamrock Genetics Inc. Premier Jersey Sire Award Presented to the Premier Exhibitor by the family of the late Gilbert and Graham Robison, prominent and enthusiastic Jersey Breeders of Campburn Farm, Harvey Award. The Premier Sire designation will be awarded to the sire whose progeny Station, NB accumulates the greatest number of points on not more than seven animals in the open single classes. In the event of a tie the points awarded to each animal, when Granclare Farm Ltd. Trophy (Perpetual) calculating the Premier Sire, will be considered.
