Table Tennis Group The table tennis group Christmas party was held on Saturday Dec 7. As usual people arrived early so as not to miss out on the pre-meal “happy hour”. We were honoured to have the club president Rob Kerr and his wife Janice join us this year. Everyone enjoyed our country style meal of scrumptious German cuisine. This was fol- lowed by an hour or so of Christmas cheer as we sang carols to live piano music pro- vided by maestro Rolf Malthaner. Next up was a friendly game of charades, with the ladies facing off against the gentlemen. Luckily most of the topics were not too dif- ficult and the crowd managed to figure out the answer without too much theatrics required. Unlike the old days, when the Christmas party ran into the wee hours, most people called it a night by 10:30. 8
