Na Fianna Nuacht GAA National Club Draw Closes Today! Please note that today Saturday, 15th February, is the last day for sale of tickets for this year's GAA National Club Draw. In addition to the fabulous range of great prizes on offer, ALL proceeds will go directly to Na Fianna which means that we stand to potentially make a maximum of €25,000, i.e. whatever we sell we keep and the more we sell, the more we keep! Following last week's Special General Meeting that approved expenditure of up to €175k for the re-development of our "old" All-Weather pitch, all members, team groups and parents are being asked to support this re-development by buying National Club Draw tickets. Tickets, €10 each, are on sale; • in Club bar, • from team mentors • online (follow this link ). But get yours today! Please support. Na Fianna Nuacht 15ú Feabhra 2020 1
Na Fianna Nuacht The flagship adult teams of the Club have come together to organise this novel fundraising event and are looking for your support. They have been working hard behind the scenes to pull together an event that promises to be a fantastic day out and have tailored group and individual pricing packages to suit all. But the advice is to act pretty sharply as tables and seats will not hang around for too long. Those interested in securing a table should see the following link http://clgnafianna.com/product/na-fianna-championship-preview-lunch/ while anyone looking for details on either an individual seat or half a table should see this link http://clgnafianna.com/product/na-fianna-gaa-championship-2020-cheltenham-preview- lunch-1seat/ Na Fianna Nuacht 15ú Feabhra 2020 2

Na Fianna Nuacht Message From Fixtures Committee With the commencement of the 2020 Leagues Na Fianna’s Fixtures Committee have issued the following communication for all teams. The inclement weather we are having at present has caused the pitches to be top heavy, will teams please do their warm up drills on the side off the pitch or behind the end line, and also ask opposition to do same. If the opposition’s grounds are unplayable we are not in a position of host the game. Please do not contact Fixtures to see if we can host it. Check the Fixtures on the Na Fianna web site to see the venue and time of your game, as we get fixtures in from four different County Boards with multiple teams being fixed for same venue and time. If a game on the Na Fianna website is different than that issued by the County Board it is the responsibility of the team mentor to contact the opposition and referee of the change. Many thanks for your co-operation Na Fianna Nuacht 15ú Feabhra 2020 6

Na Fianna Nuacht Na Fianna U-11 Hurling Success As our U-11’s prep for the new season, ground hurling has taken a front seat. Na Fianna entered three teams in the annual Gormanstown Indoor Hurling challenge, which is a fabulously organised event. The lads did the club proud over five long winter Sunday evenings and more than held their own in some great battles. Warm congratulations to Conall Grey who was awarded 3rd place in the player of the tournament. A great achievement considering 16 teams and almost 200 players competed in the U11 tournament. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha. ……and finally It was refreshing and reassuring to see the huge crowd that turned out at the recent Special General Meeting that approved expenditure of up to €175k for the re- development of our "old" All-Weather pitch. It was the quickest quorum reached and the largest attendance at a Na Fianna general meeting in some time and showed the level of interest and enthusiasm throughout the Club. The future definitely looks bright.
