e s s mailbox n Kind box URED! Mail T F EA 2 / Issue 2020 Award to If you were to give a Kindness e it to and why? someone, who would you giv If I were to give the Kindness Award to someone, I would give it to my best friend, Beatrice. She is the Class Monitor and is also someone who would always help those in need. Last year, during a VIA session, we went door-to-door to deliver food to the residents in the neighbourhood. Beatrice was polite towards the residents and greeted them without a script! Her daily acts of kindness have influenced me as well. Therefore, I would definitely give this award to her! – Cassia Loh, CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’ School, P6 Charity I would like to give a Kindness Award to the frontline workers who are putting their health at risk every day in order to ensure that everyone can remain safe and healthy. I thank them for their dedication and perserverance during this time. – Anisha Kaur Gill, Innova Primary School, P6 I would give a Kindness Award to my classmate Kylie. Once, a Primary 1 girl bumped into someone and spilled mac and cheese onto the floor and on her own pinafore. Kylie comforted the girl and told my friends and I to get toilet paper to help clean up the mess. She brought the girl to the sink and helped to clean her pinafore. Kylie is always willing to extend a helping hand and has a sense of humour. Being her classmate, I have learnt to extend a helping hand when others need help. Kylie is a great friend who is always spreading kindness. – Kiera Lim, Methodist Girls’ School, P6 RACIAL HARMONY / 15
