A welcome... FROM THE HEADMASTER
“Situated in the beautiful New Forest National Park and housed in a stunning 17th Century
Manor House, Moyles Court is an idyllic setting for a school. It is a place where children can
be children, where they feel safe, supported and valued and most importantly, where they feel
happy. Our small class sizes ensure that every child is known and understood and our
fabulous teachers nurture, challenge and support them every day.
I am delighted to be able to lead a school full of such warmth and opportunity and one with
such an infectious happy and caring atmosphere. It is an environment in which children grow,
where confidence and self-belief are heightened and where values and skills are learnt that
will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
We are proud of our academic results, with all our pupils showing that with great efffort
fort and
determination, from both teacher and pupil alike, they can secure GCSE results way above
their national predictions. However, we are also committed to educating the whole child, on the
understanding that academic results will only take you so far in life. Sport, music and drama
all flourish here and a vast range of extra-curricular activities ensure children are exposed to
an exciting range of opportunities that will help shape and develop them as individuals.

Moyles Court School is well-established with a history of more than fifty years as a school and is housed in a 16th
Century Manor house within the beautiful New Forest National Park. It is a day and boarding co-educational school
taking pupils from 3 to 16 years.
The school is located close to Ringwood, a market town near the south west coast of England. It is close to all
major rail and road links and within ninety minutes to international airports. Whilst benefitting from being near the
transport links the school is in a peaceful fourteen acre setting, surrounded by woodland streams, lakes and Forest
ponies. It is a safe and beautiful rural environment in which to live and study.

Boarding at Moyles Court
Home The boarding environment at Moyles Court School aims to provide a welcoming and supportive setting where
students can flourish and develop within a safe campus environment. Boarders develop a positive attitude to
studying, and support of other students is strongly encouraged across our mix of UK, European and international
from home... cohort.
We have two boarding houses (single sex) and students are cared for by kind, friendly and experienced house
staff. Wi-Fi in the houses makes it easy for pupils to stay in touch with home. We cater for all dietary needs and
offer a wide variety of food, which is prepared on-site, in our main school dining room. Many fun activities, trips
and social events are organised at the weekends and the boarding community often enjoy meals out together.

Academic Results
& Achievements
The excellent teaching and individualised learning
environment enables all pupils to make huge academic
progress and help pupils achieve the best possible results.
We are always proud of our pupils’ GCSE results. It shows
their excellent performance and the significant ‘value
added’ achieved.
In recent years our GCSE results have seen an increasing
number of pupils achieving A* and A grades. For
example, an international student from Hong Kong
recently achieved 8 A*’s, 3 A’s and one B grade to secure
an Academic Scholarship at Gordonstoun, a top
Independent school in the UK. The Broadway Education
Group also offers progression to Bosworth Independent
College and St Michael’s for A Level or BTEC study.
The school has also been recently recognised by the ISA
(independent Schools Association) for ‘excellence in the
Arts’ following consistently high results in Art, Design and
Technology, Textiles and Photography.
GCSE RESULTS 2017
Curriculum and ESOL A*-A Grade 29%
Class sizes are small and the average class size is 15. In the Senior School, Years 7 to 9 students follow a broad and A*-B Grade 63%
balanced curriculum that provides a strong foundation for GCSE, which is studied in Years 10 to 11.
A*-C Grade 94%
For our International students, we can offer intensive English support in the form of additional English lessons, by
specialist staff that sit alongside their academic programme of study. The small class sizes allow our teachers to 5 or more GCSEs at A*-C 100%
provide a high level of individualised care and attention for every child. Moyles Court provides an all-round
education, which comprises of both excellent academic teaching and a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. Good Schools Guide Awards in recent years:
GCSE & IGCSE Courses: We achieved the best point score at GCSE for boys
COMPULSORY SUBJECTS: English Language, English Literature (on ability), Mathematics, Science (Double Award taking Art and girls taking Design Technology & Textiles
or Single Science option), Level 2 Certificate in Personal Finance and Moyles Court ICT Qualification Technology.
OPTIONAL SUBJECTS: Art & Design, Computer Science, D.T: Resistant Materials , D.T: Textiles , French,

Life outside of Lessons
Boarders have a busy working week and also have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of
extra-curricular activities after school and in the evening. Trying new experiences and working together in a team
are important and fun too! In the evenings, and at the weekend, boarders have the opportunity to watch DVDs,
play sport or to relax and play games.
A list of trips which boarders have taken during the year includes: High ropes, Splashdown, Orienteering, Ten pin
bowling, Cinema, Theme park, Snow trek, Ice skating, Go Ape, Theatre – pantomime trip, Cycling in moors valley,
Woodland walks, Beach fun, Romsey rapids, New Forest Water Park, Crabbing at Mudeford Quay to name but a
few!
