Rutherford News June 29th, 2018 FROM THE PRINCIPAL Rutherford Elementary School in its first year, has encountered abundant activity, success, and scholarship. It is my hope that the splendid spirit so evident about the school will continue to exist in the years ahead. Your personalities, your parents, and your teachers are responsible for this pleasant, progressive and purposeful Rutherford School, 1st whole school photo, 1965 outlook. It has been a distinct pleasure to have been your principal. Raymond M. Kulai , (June, 1965) T hank you all for another wonderful year, it is hard to believe that it is over! We have made so many great memories for the students and much of it is thanks to the dedication of the staff and fantastic support from the community. Since opening 53 years ago Rutherford has welcomed literally thousands of students through its doors to experience this marvelous school. This is an unusual year as we are saying farewell not only to our graduating grade 7s and retiring staff, but to everyone here as we all move on to new schools and new phases of our lives. All of us over the years, students, staff, families, have been become part of the fabric and character that is Rutherford, we are all Roadrunners, each and everyone one of us. I am proud to say that Mr. Kulai’s wish has come true and the “splendid spirit” of Rutherford has continued for over half a century. May that spirit live on in all of you and I hope you keep fond memories and a warm place in your heart for your time spent here. It too has been my distinct pleasure to have been your principal. Dr. Rob Hoban (June, 2018)
