Rev. Bobby Morrow Pastor bobbymorrow@pritchardmemorial.com There is no more exciting time in the church year than Easter. Celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Sav- ior Jesus Christ is the highlight of our year. Without His resurrection, the story would have been different. He would have been a great teacher, prophet, and miracle worker, but would have fallen short of His claim to be the Son of God. Jesus conquered death not only for himself but for all who believe in Him and are called by His name. The confirmation of his claims has confirmed our faith in Him and given us a hope unlike the rest of the world. Our cel- ebration of that resurrection will attempt to show our gratitude for the salvation made available by God through His Son Jesus Christ. I pray you will plan to celebrate with us on April 1st. I am so very grateful for your response to our initiatives that our Vision teams have begun to put in place. I just love seeing so many of you scattered across our property on Sunday mornings making everyone - guests and members - feel at home here. I have had several comments from our own membership about how nice it is to see so many people engaged in welcoming those who come on Sundays. That is going to continue to pay dividends in the days ahead. There is a definite new sense of excitement in our preschool and children’s area with the arrival of Sherry Shaw. Sherry is getting to know our children and their families while also planning to put new programs in place to help us meet some of our goals set out through our consulting process. We can’t wait to begin to experience the results of Sherry’s vision and passion for ministry with our children. Please make every effort to get to know her and more importantly offer your support of her ministry. She is going to need additional volunteers. It would make her day for you to volunteer even before she has to ask. I know some of you are already praying about that. I know that many of you have been asking God to answer our prayers for personal and corporate revival. I feel God’s spirit at work in our worship services. There is an energy level there that can only come from God’s work in our midst. Individual change is leading to church wide change. That is the way that God works. I am so excited to watch as He continues to develop us into the church He wants us to be. I have had the friendly, inviting nature of our church family confirmed several times lately. It is now our responsibility to make sure that more people feel that welcoming atmosphere. We must be inviting our friends, neighbors and families to worship with us if we have any hope of expanding our reach to the people of Charlotte who desperately need the Lord. You can start by invit- ing someone to attend with you on Easter Sunday. It could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship. In His Love,

From the Media Center In February we lost one of the great men of our time in the death of Billy Graham. He was a great preacher but also a great author. He published many books during his lifetime and we have a good se- lection of them. Facing Death and the Life After, Angels, God's Ambassador, and Nearing Home are just a few of the ones available in the Media Center along with several biographies. WHAT'S NEW IN THE MEDIA CENTER Crossroads of the Natural World (Exploring North Carolina with Tom Earnhardt) - Step out into the natural world of North Carolina and look into windows of special places across the state. This book is in exploration of North Carolina's natural world and provides an intimate look at today's diverse flora and fauna. There are beautiful pictures taken of natu- ral areas across the state. This book was one of David Duncan's favorites and was placed in the Media Center in his memory by Rachel Duncan. New Children's Books Ten Little Ladybugs is a cute book that has ten touchable ladybugs. These ladybugs will make learning to count fun for children. The Hope Sunday School Class gave this book in memory of Aggie McCall. Nursery Rhymes - Classic nursery rhymes in a beautifully illustrated book which includes a sing-along CD. JoJo and the Big Mess - JoJo loves making messes but when her pillow fight gets too messy, her Daddy is not hap- py. After cleaning up, she comes up with the perfect gift for Daddy, but it makes the best mess of all! My First Read and Learn Bible - This Bible is a joint venture between the American Bible Society and Scholastic. It con- tains favorite Bible stories and has large print with colorful pictures. It will encourage young children to read and gives parents an opportunity to share scripture with them. These three books were given in memory of Aggie McCall by Elinor Hendrick.
