SITUATION
Meadowfoot Farm is situated in a tranquil and unspoilt rural situation close to the
village of Drumclog and about 7 miles from the historic market town of Strathaven;
15 miles from East Kilbride and 31.5 miles from Glasgow (via the M74 motorway).
Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports are 31 miles and 52 miles distant respectively.
Drumclog has a thriving local community and there is a small well regarded primary
school (Gilmourton) close by.

Secondary schooling is in Strathaven which also has a good range of local services
including supermarket, leisure centre with swimming pool, coffee shops, deli,
restaurants and shops.

There is plenty of local history including the Battle of Drumclog in 1679 which has a
monument nearby. There are many interesting walks available in the area including the
Spectacle E’e waterfalls lying in the Avon Valley. There are a number of golf courses
including an 18-hole course at Strathaven Golf Club and the racecourse at Hamilton
provides regular fixtures. Excellent yachting facilities are available at the marinas at
Ardrossan, Troon, Largs and Inverkip.

DESCRIPTION
Previously a working farm Meadowfoot comprises a traditional three/four bed
farmhouse built of stone under a slate roof which requires complete refurbishment and
a range of traditional outbuildings in varying conditions. Whilst not currently habitable
the site presents various potential opportunities, subject to obtaining the relevant
permissions, from a large single country house with equestrian facilities, conversion
of the traditional buildings to separate dwellings, to a brown field development site
for a number of new-build properties. It should be noted that pre-application planning
advice is currently being sought in this regard.
