CSP Groups and Classes Art with Jennifer Animal Mosaics - Develop the ability to think of the unified whole as the harmonious placement of many small parts. Everyone gets a square surface to mosaic an animal of your choice onto. Develop a design and use a wide variety of beautiful colored glass pieces to create your own unique mosaic animal art. Instructions for glass-cutting, gluing, grouting, and finishing will be given. Financial Literacy July 8, 11, 18, 22, 29 Come meet one of our new volunteers, Erica! As an Operations Specialist, Erica is looking forward to sharing her expertise with regards to personal financial management, applying for public assistance, computer literacy, etc. with members of the CSP. Everyone is welcome! Thursday, July 21st @ 1:00pm Jean's Arts and Crafts Come join Jean's class for beading! Friday, July 15th @1:30pm Birthday Club Join the birthday club! If it is your birthday month you can win. Enter your name into a drawing during Birthday Bingo and receive a gift card if your name is drawn. Outings Dinner Club Dinner club is back! Come join us for dinner Outback Steakhouse. Tuesday, July 12th RSVP. $$ Let's Go Fishing! Come fishing with us on the St. Croix river! Fishing is free and spots are limited. All fishing equipment will be provided. Wednesday, July 13th RSVP Minnehaha Falls Art Fair Come join us at the Minnehaha Falls Art Fair on Saturday, July 16th! Enjoy local art, food, and more! RSVP Cookout in the Park with Horizons Join us and Horizons CSP for food and games. Location TBD. Thursday, July 7th RSVP. Member Center will be closed this day during activity. Covid Updates Members will be allowed to have food and beverages while at the member center Social distancing will be strongly encouraged in all indoor spaces All members and staff will be required to wear masks when indoors for the time being Hand washing and extra sanitization of community areas will be implemented and encouraged daily Masks are NOT required in outdoor areas on CSP premises for the time being Members are required to contact CSP staff if they test positive for or are exposed to COVID-19 If positive, you may return to the CSP when: You feel better. Your cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms are better. And it has been 5 days since you first felt sick. CSP Recipe Series Cooking with Dried Milk Enjoy this recipe using nonfat dried milk courtesy of Neighbors Inc. "Menu Makers" Nonfat Dried Milk Bundt Cake Ingredients : 1 cup Nonfat Dried Milk 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup vegetable oil 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp. vanilla extract cup up fresh fruit of choice 1/2 cup water 2 eggs caramel sauce for drizzle Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a Bundt pan. 2. Place Nonfat Dried Milk in a skillet over medium heat. 3. Stir constantly and roast the milk until it is evenly toasted and brown. 4. Break up large chunks when stirring. Remove from pan. Place in bowl. 5. In another bowl, mix vanilla and eggs until foamy. 6. Add oil and water, mix well. Mix in the sugar. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. 7. Add them to the egg mixture and beat until the flour disappears. 8. Add the toasted milk, mixing well until everything is well combined. 9. Pour batter into the prepared Bundt pan. Bake 25-30 minutes until done. 10. Take cake out of the oven and let it stand for 2-3 minutes until able to handle well. 11. Flip cake out of cake pan. Serve with drizzled caramel sauce, fresh fruit, and whipped cream.
