BECOME BETTER TOGETHER Summer 2021 Program Guide GALION COMMUNITY CENTER YMCA Pickle Run Festival 5K Glow Run & Kids Fun Run Friday, July 3rd, Fun Run at 8:30 pm and Glo Run at 9:00 pm (Registration at 7:30 pm). Kids participate in a .25 mile fun run, followed by the 5K Run/Walk.

AQUATIC & LAND PROGRAMS AQUATIC: ARTHRITIS EXERCISE FIT OVER FORTY This class is designed for those who have arthritis or A sustainable workout for the over and under forty-year- other physical handicaps. It is designed to use water as resistance to help tone and strengthen POUND CLASS muscles. Using lightly weighted rip sticks, this class combines a mix of cardio and strength training. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10:15 - 11:00 am WATER WALK Tuesday & Thursday 10:30 - 11:30 am Keep firm and trim as you work and tone legs, thighs, hips and stomach. Arm exercises will be added to give Saturday 9:30 - 10:30 am you a full body workout. A great cross training, or as a class by itself. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 – 8:45 am SPIN CLASS Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:45 – 9:30 am Spinning is a specific format of indoor cycling that is a cardio workout set to music. Monday & Wednesday 5:15 - 6:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:30 - 6:15 am LAND: BOOT CAMP YOGA This class is packed full of fun, fitness, and fellowship. This challenging yoga class offers a combination of Hatha If we are not running and jumping we are doing push- & Flow Yoga. Please bring your yoga mat. ups and squats. Lessons will be held on Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:00-10:00 am. This program is pre- sented through a collaboration with the City of Galion, is limited to 25 youth, and is free of charge. Dates to be Announced KICKBOXING & KARATE Join Bill Cooley as he leads various levels and classes of self defense & cardio workouts for all ages. In- struction will be held on Tuesday & Thursday evenings.

HEISE POOL & SPLASH PARK Heise Pool will open for the season on Saturday, June 5th, while the Splash Park will open on Saturday, May 29th. The Heise Park Swimming Pool features a water slide, diving board, and mushroom shower. There is a separate baby pool on site. A concession stand is open during pool hours.
