DEAR PLAYERS, MEMBERS AND FANS, I welcome the Sea of Blue, our loyal Members and fans, back for the second week in a row here at HBF Park for the final home match of the Trans-Tasman regular season. Tonight, we are up against former Super Rugby champions, the Highlanders. Firstly, thank you for the passionate support you gave the team in our last home game against the Chiefs. We heard you in full voice, lifting the team in the last 20 minutes or when the referee needed assistance. You created an amazing atmosphere – it was a game of centimetres and the last kick of the game clearly illustrated that. You, the Sea of Blue, are creating a fortress here for the Western Force! Tonight’s match against the Highlanders is another crucial clash with bragging rights on the line, especially for me as I was born and bred in Dunedin, New Zealand. We are here to win tonight as we are chasing our first victory in Super Rugby Trans-Tasman. We welcome Highlanders CEO Roger Clark, the owners of the team as well as the coaching staff and their players to HBF Park. I am always amazed by the unique atmosphere at our home games, from the pre-match entertainment to our Fan Zone at Gate 1. Last week was brilliant, thank you Rebecca Roe and the team. As I said before, compared to what is offered across other clubs, the Force are market leaders, and we want to be ‘The Leading Force’ in every avenue of your matchday experience. There is nothing better than live rugby, so be loud and proud. Enjoy the game! Tony Lewis CEO, Western Force
