OVERVIEW
The FC Malaga City Academy in partnership with Player Centre, gives a player more
than just football and University level education, it provides the opportunity to be fully
submerged in the life of a professional player for a full ten month season. Training six
days per week, with an unrivalled fixture programme, access to outstanding coaches
and tailor made development plans to give you the best opportunity to improve.
The programme is designed with one goal in mind – to develop and enhance our
players both on and off the field, As the success of the players moving on has grown,
so to has our infrastructure and projects; we're proud to offer a full club based struc-
ture starting at U19 Academy football in to U23s and into our Senior Professional 1st
team.
We're proud to have built relationships with some of Europe's finest football clubs;
including Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Valencia CF, Sevilla CF,
Granada CF, Manchester City and Norwich City to name just a few - offering a truly
unrivalled fixture programme for our players.
Represented by players from 35 countries and 6 continents; we truly give our players
an amazing opportunity to connect with like minded people from different walks of
life with one goal, success on and off the pitch.

OUR HOME
FC Malaga City is based in Almuñecar, a diverse coastal town located on the Costa
Tropical in the Andalusian region of Spain, just an hour's drive from Malaga and
Granada.
With a population of just under 30,000, the town has enough on offer to keep our
players entertained, whilst also providing the perfect environment to focus on football.
The club is central to the community and we're incredibly proud to represent this
diverse and international town that we call 'Home'.

TEAM FOOTBALL PATHWAY
Our FC Malaga City Academy structure is like that found at any
professional club.
It has grown from our flagship U19 academy which is designed
primarily to introduce our younger student athletes into the full time
environment to now incorporate U23 Full Time Football squads and
our professional Senior 1st Team giving players the opportunity to be
fully submerged in a full time footballing experience over a ten
U23’s month season.
We're proud to offer our players regular fixtures against Europe's
finest clubs; this provides the players the ultimate chance to show-
case their abilities against high levels of opposition in professional
setups.
The goal of our academy is to see our players further enhance their
footballing career. We have a proven track record and have seen a
large number of players progress into professional clubs across
Europe and America since the academy started. We aim to replicate
a professional football environment for our players so that they are
U19’s fully prepared for the pressures and relentless nature of full time
football.

U23s
The FC Malaga City U23 teams provide the perfect link between
academy and senior football for promising young footballers.
The idea behind our U23 setup is to fully assist younger players
looking to make the transition between academy and senior
football; with managers often extremely timid to put their faith in
younger players.
All players registered for our U23s team are fully eligible to represent
our senior team; providing a fantastic balance and competition to
the squad and a brilliant opportunity for players that impress.
Our U23s teams have become a happy hunting ground for Tercera
División clubs, with Spanish rules requiring that there is a minimum
number of players in the squad who are U23 to meet league quotas
which makes our players very in demand.

1st TEAM
Our FC Malaga City Senior Team, CD Almuñecar is the pinnacle of
of the Academy system.
The team competes in the 1a Andaluza Senior Division (Granada)
and has successfully achieved two promotions in successive years
since it's launch in 2017.
With a growing fan base, due to the teams rapid rise, and being one e
of the region's most exciting projects, it has brought a real spotlight
onto the academy as a whole.
The club has a clear vision to become an established Tercera
trampoline into professional Spanish football for players.

PLAYER WELLBEING FC Malaga City Academy understands the importance of player safety and are proud to have partnered with Clinica Fleming, a state-of-the-art medical facility based in Almuñecar, boasting advanced technology and leading professionals in the industry. We work closely with the clinic to provide support to players through every stage of the recovery process to ensure optimum recovery. In addition, we always have fully qualified physiotherapy staff present amongst our training sessions every day to ensure players are safe. PLAYER ACCOMMODATION The academy provides accommodation for all players across a variety of hotel and hostel locations in Almuñecar. All hotels are a minimum three star and include facilities such as WiFi, Air Conditioning, En-Suite Bathrooms and Kitchens. Our accommodation options are placed in the heart of Almuñecar and are just a 10-15 minute walk from our restaurant, stadium and training facilities. Rooms are regularly cleaned by hotel staff and laundry facilities are accessible on site. PLAYER CENTRE
U.K based support service Player Centre, which is run by
experienced professional players and managers, focuses on
helping current and aspiring pro’s to futher their journey within
the game.
Our partnership gives our student athletes a wealth of first hand
experience, knowledge and contacts to draw from gained from
over 500 Premier League and Football League playing
appearances and over 450 Professional and Semi-Professional
games from a management perspective.
The partnership allows us to factiliate not only U.K student
athletes coming to F.C Malaga City Academy but also our
students from around the Globe benefiting from Player Centre’s
ability to give access to the UK football pyramid via training
camps, games, trials and even a UK based Study Programme via
number of regional hubs.
UK SPORT ACADEMY
Our education partner The UK Sport Academy provide
outstanding further education provision & create pathways for
student athletes to progress into careers in the sports industry.
This exciting partnership allows us to offer our students
education up to and including degree level over a 1, 2 or 3 year
duration.
The UK Sport Academy work with a number of the U.Ks
professional football clubs and education establishments and
are regarded as one of the leading independent education
training providers.

Through our partnership with Player Centre and UK Sport Academy
we can offer to students from all around the Globe a unique and
flexible higher education package.
Student athletes have the option to study on a rolling yearly basis up
to three years and recieve a highly regarded qualification in relation
to the duration of their study, unlike a standard Bachelors Degree,
where students have to complete a three year programme in it’s
entirety.
Our flexible approach allows students to gain certification on
completition of each year culminating in a full Bachelors Degree if
they complete three years.
