OBJECTIVE Chess is a powerful educational tool that helps strengthen a child’s mind. It enhances concentration and patience – virtues that help the formative development of a child as also of any person playing it actively and consistently. For a child, Chess gives the opportunity to think differently, trust his/her intuition, sharpen the memory and most importantly, it helps build the ability to analyze. Children playing Chess from an early age learn to take tough decisions and solve problems flexibly. As regards social skills, Chess provides a positive social outlet and is a wholesome recreational activity that can be easily learned and enjoyed at any age. Logical thinking and pattern recognition help build good judgment and round up the elaborate learning bouquet that Chess provides so richly.
