Salient features of AIKYASHREE
Higher Scholarship Amount Assurance of Sanction Quick Disbursement

Pre Matric scholarship
1) Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
2) Must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by
an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/
Central Government.
3) Must have secured not less than 50% marks or
equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
4)The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
5)Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will
not be eligible.

Post Matric scholarship
1) Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
2) Must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an
educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central
Government.
3) Must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent
grade in the previous final examination.
4)The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
5)Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be
eligible.

Merit cum means scholarship
1. The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
2. Must have got admission in a technical / professional course.
3. Must have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher
Secondary/ Graduation examination.
4. Annual family income of the student should not be more than
Rs.2.5 lakh.
5. The students who are residents of West Bengal but pursuing
studies in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, as
may be notified from time to time by the West Bengal Minorities'
Development and Finance Corporation, are also eligible for
applying.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION
✓ Only a candidate domiciled in West Bengal will be eligible
✓ The student must have passed the last examination with at least 50%
marks(except for class I)
✓ One mobile number can be used for the registration of one application
only. However, in case of Pre-Matric scholarship, a maximum of two
applications can be filed through one mobile number
✓ Each Student should have individual Bank Account

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION
✓ After submitting the online application, the applicant must take a print out
of the same and submit it to the concerned institute, along with
(i) a photocopy of bank passbook containing bank account no.
and IFS code
(ii) self declaration of Annual family income
✓ A student is eligible for a scholarship from any one source only
✓ Student pursuing courses through Distance mode are not eligible

GRIEVANCE CELL
• It is based on complaint redressal mechanism on the
basis of subject of disposal
• Main objective is to manage the complaints which are
being received through telephones /online / mails /
facsimile/letters/papers/supplied materials or by in
person and to inform the same to the complainant.

1. Institutes are the Focal Point for Scholarship
2. Ascertain the total no. of Eligible minority students in terms of eligibility
conditions of various schemes.
3. Prepare a detailed list of rest of the students having no Bank Account and
share the same with bank authorities and BDO.
4. Ensure KYC compliance of SB account of all students and reconcile the
same with banks for all non-compliant cases.

5. Institutes’ authority shall generate awareness among
students on all the above mentioned 1 to 4 points.
6. Institutes’ authority should create an enabling environment
facilitating filing of application considering cumulative marks
for both formative and summative assessment in last
academic examination.

7. All Students should apply as “Fresh” in case of “Aikyashree”.
In case of SVMCM scholarship applicants who are in receipt of
SVMCM scholarship amount in the last year and having
application ID must apply under “Renewal” category only.
8. Awareness among the students shall be done by the
Institute.

9) Applicant will submit a copy of print out of application
along with first page of bank pass book (Note: Bank A/C
must be in the name of applicant in case of Post
Matric/SVMCM/TSP/MCM. For Pre Matric bank A/C may
be either self/guardian), Annual Family Income
Certificate(Note: Annual family income certificate for
SVMCM will be required from any Gazetted officer)

10) Head of the institutions shall nominate a Nodal
teacher for all purpose of scholarships including
scrutiny and send to District Authorities through BDO
mentioning the name of the District, block, name of
the institute, name of the nodal teacher, designation,
mobile number, e-mail ID.

11)Institutes will ensure 100% filing of applications by
all eligible applicants.
12) Institutes will ensure that student shall be eligible for
only one scholarship from any of the sources.
13) If there is no name of institutes at the scholarship
portal, institutes are to contact immediately District
Minority office.

1) Nodal Teacher will get a separate user ID and Password for each
scheme of scholarship from District Authority for scrutiny and
verification of applications.
2) 1st level scrutiny shall be done by the Nodal Teacher to validate,
authorise and approve the student records using hard copy of
application and other supporting documents.
3) Nodal teacher should also ensure uniformity in fees structure for
same class.

4) The first level verification will ensure that the students are genuine
and eligible and rule out duplication with other scholarship schemes of
Centre and State. The second level verification will ensure the
credentials of institute as well as the claim of hostellers.
5)An application duly verified by the first level of Verifying authority
(Institute) will be treated as valid application and to be counted. An
application which does not get verified by the first verifying Authority
will be treated as Invalid Application.

6)Moreover, it is the institute, which keeps all the records of the students, such as, their
application copy, declaration of Annual family income, bank passbook copy and all other
details of its students. Hence, the responsibility of verifying the application as authentic
and genuine lies with the Institute only.
7)Nodal teacher has to ensure that rejection/defection during scrutiny must have
sufficient grounds. In case of defect such as typical error in the students’ name/bank a/c
details etc., Nodal Teacher will mark the applications under “defection”. The defected
applications will automatically be returned to the applicants who will submit again after
correction.
8)While verifying, Nodal Teacher must check Hosteller status of each Students
