WELCOME TO GLASS HOUSE WINERY Glass House Winery is a boutique winery in the heart of Monticello Wine Trail of central Virginia. Named after the large tropical plant conservatory, Glass House Winery provides the backdrop for a unique and unforgettable wedding day. The grounds also include a 15-acre vineyard, 7-acre Glass House Lake, and outdoor terraces that overlook stunning views. Glass House Winery offers award-winning estate wines, house-made artisan chocolates, and a whimsical bed and breakfast to complete your wedding experience.
EVENT SPACES Our indoor spaces, including the conservatory and tasting room, can accommodate 88 guests. Utilizing the adjoining outdoor terracing can accommodate groups of up to 130 guests. Additional outdoor spaces include a large lawn, which can be tented to accommodate 200 guests. We have a bed and breakfast on site, and an event building for wedding parties to get ready on the day of the wedding. The grounds are surrounded by mountains and include a variety of gorgeous backdrops for first-looks and portraits, including Glass House Lake, rows of vines, a tree-lined drive, tropical conservatory, and a unique Glass Theater custom-built with over 19,000 Glass House wine bottles.
C O N S E R V A T O R Y Glass House Winery features a stunning and unique glass conservatory, which will seat 88 at tables. Additional guests for groups up to 130 can be accommodated in the adjoining tasting room and outdoor terraces. Filled with tropical plants and flowers, this space brings the feel of the tropics to central Virginia. The conservatory is home to several varieties of banana trees, ginger, lime trees, and a wide variety of other flora that give the room a uniquely sweet and tropical fragrance. The conservatory is temperature controlled for your comfort in all seasons.
T A S T I N G R O O M A N D O U T D O O R T E R R A C E S Our indoor tasting room and outdoor terraces overlook the lake and vineyard. These spaces will be great for enjoying happy hour, and can also be used for additional guest seating. In cooler weather, the terraces are equipped with outdoor patio heaters and tabletop fire pits to keep guests warm.
O U R L A W N The spacious lawn is situated between rows of grapevines and the 7- acre Glass House Lake, providing beautiful backdrops in every direction. It can be used as the ceremony site, and can also be tented and used as a reception site to accommodate larger groups up to 200 guests. This space offers great flexibility for design, and provides several natural places for guests to gather. The dock is the perfect place for portraits or enjoying a glass of wine after the ceremony. Outdoor tables and chairs offer seating, and a large traditional wood-burning fire pit adds another area for guests to enjoy conversation or roast marshmallows.
B E D A N D B R E A K F A S T The Glass House Winery B&B has 5 en-suite bedrooms and large spaces inside and out for gathering with loved ones and enjoying your wedding weekend. You’ll find the Caribbean atmosphere from the conservatory maintained throughout the B&B as well. It’s nestled near our vineyard, overlooking the winery, with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. The B&B provides a home base on the property for the weekend, and can be rented as a whole house or individually by the room. The B&B includes three bedrooms on the main floor and a two-bedroom suite upstairs. The suite, equipped with a full kitchen and living area as well as a large outdoor deck, provides a beautiful and spacious area for the wedding party to get ready on the day of the wedding. Also included is a fresh breakfast prepared each morning by our resident innkeeper as well as access to the saltwater pool and hot tub and tiki bar, located directly off the main floor of the B&B. *Information about B&B availability and other details can be found on the Glass House Winery website.
T H E G L A S S T H E A T E R Our event building is uniquely designed and built from over 19,000 Glass House wine bottles. Including a gathering area with large Acacia wood bar and table seating, as well as a theater room with 81-inch flat screen television, podium, and stadium seating, this building will suit many needs. This space provides another excellent area for the wedding party to get ready and enjoy a pre-ceremony drink. *See The Glass Theater brochure for additional infromation.
