This bike tour is very suitable to discover many cultural places of interest between Linz and Vienna. Start in Linz
with a visit of the Ars Electronica Centrum, the museum of future. Great highlights line up on the following stages:
Cathedral St. Florian, Enns – the oldest town of Austria, Melk Abbey and finally the magnificent Schönbrunn
Palace.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Individual arrival in Linz
Welcome on your cycling holiday in Austria! Linz has much to offer, visit the Lentos Art Museum, Linz
Castle, stroll through the historical old town center or enjoy a piece of delicious Linzer Torte (special cake)
in one of the numerous cafés at the main square. Example of hotel: Hotel Park Inn**** in Linz
Day 2 - Linz–Ardagger/Grein, approx. 60 km
On your first day cycling, pick up your rented bike in our bike center. Your bike tour leads through greenmeadows before reaching the lovely town of Grein, where you should visit Austria's oldest rococo theatre
and the shipping museum at Greinburg Castle. Example of hotel: Hotel-Gasthof zum Schatzkastl*** in
Ardagger
Day 3 - Ardagger/Grein–Wachau Valley, approx. 70 km
Follow the Danube cycle path towards the Strudengau region to the world-famous wine-growing area
Wachau Valley, well known for its excellent wine. Do not miss visiting the impressive Melk Abbey during
your bike route today! Example of hotel: Hotel-Gasthof zur Wachau*** in Mitteransdorf
Day 4 - Wachau Valley–Traismauer/surroundings, approx. 40 km
Continue cycling along the Danube cycle path through vineyards and picturesque villages of the Wachau
Valley: Weißenkirchen, Dürnstein and Krems before reaching Traismauer - taste some of the delicious
wine at the so-called 'Heurigen', wine taverns! Example of hotel: Gasthof zum Schwan*** in Traismauer
Day 5 - Traismauer/surroundings–Vienna, approx. 65 km
Today's bike route leads past Tulln, the so-called city of flowers before you arrive in Vienna, where
numerous sights await your visit! The last night of your cycling holiday in Austria, you will stay in Vienna.

Day 6 - Individual departure or extra nights
Return from your bike tour along River Danube by train (included), excluding transport of own bike

Information Coronavirus – Security for your booking:
Free cancellation option
If you decide and book a trip early, but do not want to travel due to the coronavirus, you can cancel free of
charge up to 14 days before departure. You will not pay any booking or cancellation fees.
Travel warning
We are constantly monitoring the current situation and will inform you in case of travel changes. If an official
travel warning is issued for your destination or you are unable to enter or leave the country, your trip will be
cancelled or rebooked free of charge.
No payments until 4 weeks before arrival
You do not have to make any advance payments until 4 weeks before arrival.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to
accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for
obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
You do not have to make any advance payments to us up to 4 weeks before departure. Please mind the payment
conditions in your booking confirmation/invoice.
Cancellation Policy:According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable: 20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date 30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date 50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date 70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date 90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show” If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes. In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties.
