If you are interested, please contact Marvin Sindel (marvinsindel@att.net ) or go to the ministry page of OLGC's Website/on line app. COVID INFORMATION From the Diocese: The new Guidance for Parishes to Plan and Respond to COVID-19 was effective Jan. 15, 2022. With the new surge in Omicron, St. Johns County is now considered CDC High Risk Phase 1. With this new information, we at OLGC are strongly emphasizing the procedures below: Holy Communion will be placed in the parishioners hand ONLY and we will continue the policy of distribution of the Body of Christ ONLY. (Eucharistic Ministers MUST WEAR MASKS.) Masks or Face Coverings are strongly recommended and Ushers should make masks available to parishioners who wish to use one. To maintain safety in our parishes and offices we are to encourage people to get vaccinated and boosted, maintain physical distance, wear a mask, and get tested. We request all un-vaccinated individuals to please continue to wear a mask. Additionally for your safety we encourage those who have received the vaccination but fall in the category of “those with health issues and/or those who are most vulnerable” to also continue wearing a mask. Social Distancing is recommended to the best of our ability. Those with serious health conditions should consult their physicians for advice. Anyone who is ill should stay home. Sanitizing is recommended: new hand sanitizing stations are at the main entrance into the Church please lend a helping hand by taking a sanitizer bottle from the table at the back of the main church area and spray your furniture area. We encourage all to be vaccinated and urge our faithful to please stay home if they have any symptoms or are in the HIGH RISK category. Christian charity and the common good should prevail. By working together, we can help minimize the spread of the virus.

Page 9 Ministry events are available by visiting our web site @: www.olgc-church.org February 06, 2022 eGiving with Faith Direct: In May of 2020, OLGC Parish introduced Faith Direct eGiving. Faith direct, by debiting your checking/savings account or credit/debit cards will make your offering to Our Lady of Good Counsel. The program has been a success, especially during the COVID Pandemic. In addition, it is a very convenient method for making your offering. For example, there are no checks to write; envelopes to use; it can be programed to be automatic for a quarterly, monthly or weekly gift; make your offering even when on vacation. It is easy to enroll: Just go online to https://membership.faithdirect.net/enroll/FL1062 This site is the enrollment page, and it is here that you can enroll to setup your offering for: regular collection, Holy Days, one time gifts and non-parochial collections. If you do have questions, feel free to contact the Parish Office at 904-824-8688. Please request from Faith Direct the “contribution notice cards” that show you are supporting your parish; then please drop the card into the collection basket at Mass. Thank You! Online Banking An alternative option for OLGC parishioners is to go online to your bank for an electronic bank check to be mailed (the bank actually sends a check drawn on your account to OLGC). This method is currently being used by many parishioners. You can make it an automatic transaction with your bank to send your offering via a bank check either weekly or monthly. By using this method of payment, your offering will be received automatically, even if you are on vacation or unable to attend Mass. Please provide your OLGC Parish envelope number to the bank when setting up your transaction. POLICY TO ADMINISTER THE OLGC PANDEMIC EMERGENCY FUNDS FOR THOSE IN FINANCIAL NEED A committee of 3 parishioners, with 1 person being a member of the Parish Finance Council, combined with input from Pastor, is authorized to evaluate applications for financial need. All recommendations for approval are to be submitted to the OLGC Pastor for final approval. Applications are to be reviewed on a first come, first reviewed basis and the appropriate award made at that time. Preference will be provided to parishioners vis-à-vis non parishioners. Should you need to apply for financial assistance, please contact the OLGC Parish Office for the “Application for OLGC Pandemic Financial Assistance”. All information remains confidential.
