Edition: 76 / WEEK 2 / APRIL 2022 _______________________________________________________________________________________________ “Education is not preparation for life; Quote of the Week: Education is life itself.” - John Dewey FARE THEE WELL, CLASS OF 2022 Not a goodbye, but an “until we meet again”… Once again, emotions soared high at The Sagar School campus as the school witnessed yet another momentous celebration – the Graduation Ceremony and the bittersweet moment of bidding farewell to our Class of 2022.
With the auspicious diya lighting ceremony, the felicitation by the Class Teachers and benediction by the Senior Leadership Team, valedictory speech and a motley of colourful presentations by the immediate juniors, we bade farewell to our beloved Class of 2022. ONTO A NEW CHAPTER With the Sagarians back on campus, normalcy has certainly returned. The school is buzzing with energy as the new academic session is in full swing. Academic lessons are interspersed with extra-curricular activities and sports – morning conditioning, evening sports and various matches on Sunday have been an enjoyable experience for the students. Students of the Junior school also had their own talent show displaying their passion for storytelling, dance and music. Sagarians witnessed the Jaipur Literature Fest, often dubbed as the “Maha Kumbh mela of Literature”. The live sessions of eminent speakers – William Dalrymple, Indra Nooyi, Nayantara Sehgal, Manoj Bajpayee, Shashi Tharoor, Sonali Bendre Behl, Lilly Singh and Usha Uthup – from across the world talking about their books, lives, literatures, the new world, and everything else in between, added a fresh perspective and understanding of the literary world.
OUTDOOR ESCAPADE & CAMP CULTURE LEADERS “The only person you are destined to become, is the person you decide to be.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson To elucidate the meaning and importance of leading by example and to equip the students with this art and science of leadership, a four-day outdoor camp was organised by the school. The young adults of the respective graduating classes of IX and XI were offered a passage to challenge themselves and work in a team, manifesting their strengths. The essential leadership skills like communication, coordination, motivation, survival skills, overcoming limitations, positivity, creative and critical thinking were learnt through an array of outdoor activities planned by the Junoon Adventure Team.
