BCSB / Mt Seymour BC Snowboard Provincial Series events are presented by BC Snowboard. These events bring together competitive provincially registered athletes from Western Canada to compete in 2 Slopestyle events over 3 days. The 2 Slopestyle events are part of the BC Snowboard Provincial Snowboard Series. Results receive FIS, Canadian Ranking (World Snowboard Point List) and overall Provincial Series points. The MAZDA SUPER GROM Event is part of a coast-to-coast series for young snowboarders. It combines the basics of our sport with fun competition. Participants will have the chance to compete on a multi-discipline skills course designed to both build confidence and encourage athletes to put their developing skills into practice. The MAZDA GROM Event is classified as Stage 3 events within our Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model and have been developed to fill a gap in the availability of grassroots competitive snowboarding events. The entire BCSB team would like to welcome athletes and coaches. We look forward to hosting a competitive, fun and safe environment that allows the athletes to excel and progress. THE RESORT Mt Seymour is Vancouver’s family owned and operated ski hill delivering a relaxed West Coast feel only 30 minute drive from downtown Vancouver. Located in the Mount Seymour Provincial Park, the ski and snowboard area's proximity to the Pacific Ocean, eastern aspect and the high base elevation provide an average annual snowfall of over 1,000cm. The ski area's 80 hectares of terrain, which includes 40 hectares lit for night skiing, features gentle slopes where beginners will progress rapidly and excel but also provides advanced skiers and snowboarders with naturally contoured slopes, gullies, tree runs, and terrain parks.
