FIS BRAZILIAN ROLLERSKI CIRCUIT – 2nd STOP SÃO CARLOS (BRAZIL) 2020 OFFICIAL INVITATION WELCOME! CBDN - Brazilian Snow Sports Federation and Damha Ecosports Park wishes a warm welcome to all National and International Cross Country competitors for the 2nd Stop of the Brazilian Rollerski Circuit 2020, which will be held from October 09th to 12th. All competitions will be FIS sanctioned events, entries will only be accepted from FIS National Ski Associations and must be submitted to the Registration Office on official FIS Entry Forms via e-mail according to FIS rules to pedro.cavazzoni@cbdn.org.br Only competitors with an active FIS Code are allowed to participate in FIS Rollerski races (please check with your National Federation prior to event arrival). Information for travelers: all non-Brazilian citizens or national residents with a maximum stay of 90 days must have a medical insurance coverage for the duration of their stay (this does not apply to national and residents of Brazil and passengers travelling as students in Brazil). Furthermore, all participants (athletes and officials) must have and present COVID-19 test result: serological (blood) testing and/or RT- PCR Test (swab), if necessary. - Serological (blood) testing during pre-competition control – this determines if the person has had COVID-19 o Positive result: athletes and officials with positive result may take part in the event, since this result show the person is positive for antibodies and therefore is immune for a period of time. After a positive result for the serological test, the person does not need a PCR Test. Fast test results will not be accepted. o Negative result: athletes and official with a negative result must have a PCR Test, since this result shows the person is negative for antibodies and therefore is not immune. - RT-PCR Test prior to arrival at the event / venue – this determines if the person has COVID-19 at the moment of testing o Every person who wishes to access the event must have and present a negative COVID-19 PCR Test (swab test) result carried out within the previous 5 days (preferentially 3 days) before the arrival at the event for the first time and complete a questionnaire (see appendix 1). In the case of foreign participants, the RT-PCR test must be made in a laboratory in Brazil, after all trips with access to public places (airports, bus stations). This criterion does not include people who had a positive result for the serological (blood) test. Due to the broad amount of local regulations and its constant changes the Entry deadline is September 8th (please see Entry section for details), so the OC has time to organize and properly manage the races that will be held and to avoid unnecessary international travel for participants.
Additionally, we strongly recommend all participants to check their local travel rules and regulations and to consult with the OC for the updated Brazilian regulations prior to start their international traveling, to avoid unnecessary traveling. Accommodation & Meals Athletes and officials are responsible for their own arrangements for accommodations and meals. However, due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the organization strongly recommend athletes and officials to use the official accommodation with the option of full board. Please book rooms early to guarantee availability. The Hill Executive Hotel will be the Brazilian Rollerski Circuit’s official accommodation. It is located 4km from race venue, approximately 10 minutes by car. It’s also possible to reach the venue by rollerskis. It is also possible to arrange the meals at The Hill Hotel and there are many other options around, Transportation Athletes and officials are responsible for their own transportation arrangements. From airport to São Carlos By car The nearest international airports are Viracopos-VCP (170km from São Carlos) and Guarulhos-GRU (265km from São Carlos). Highways “Rodovia dos Bandeirantes” (SP-348) and “Rodovia Washington Luís” (SP-310) should be taken to reach São Carlos. (Annex A and B). Cars can be rented both in Guarulhos and Viracopos By Bus There is a direct Bus service from GRU International Airport to São Paulo’s Central Bus Station (Rodoviaria do Tiete) offered by the Airport Bus Service (http://www.airportbusservice.com.br/). To get to São Carlos, there are buses departing from São Paulo (Rodoviaria do Tiete) (http://www.socicam.com.br/terminais/terminais_rodoviarios/tiete). The main company offering this service is “Empresa Cruz” (http://www.empresacruz.com.br/). The price is around R$ 65,00 (approximately USD 15,00) per person and the trip normally takes 3,5 hours. (Annex C) The Organizing Committee can arrange transport to and from Guarulhos Airport. For transport prices, please contact Camila Freitas (CBDN), informing arrival and departure dates, as well as the number of persons not later than 08th September to CBDN using the e-mail address camila.freitas@cbdn.org.br. From hotel to venue Athletes and officials are responsible for their own arrangements for the transportation to and from the official hotel/venue. The Organization Committee this time will not offer transportation in order to avoid athletes and officials to share vehicles. Deadlines Transportation: Tuesday 08th of September 2020 Entry: Tuesday 08th of September 2020 Prize Money There will be no prize money for the international competitions. Entries/Inscriptions Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and aiming to prevent any unnecessary traveling, local or international, FIS Entry Form should be sent to pedro.cavazzoni@cbdn.org.br no later than September 8th, so the OC can confirm there are enough participants for a valid race in each gender. The entry fee is 80,00 BRL per athlete for the whole event. The entry fees should be paid online, the latest at the first TCM: https://link.pagar.me/lSkTOdcrXw The inscriptions for the FIS races must be done by each Federation via Entry Form and the Brazilian athletes must register themselves online through the following link: http://cbdn.org.br/rollerski-2020/ Competition Rules The Competitions will be organized according to FIS Rules. Please check Rule #396 – Rollerski, of the FIS CC ICR edition 2019. All competitions will be valid for FIS Points. Liability All athletes must have previously signed the “FIS Athletes Declaration” form in order to register and compete.
Visa Regulations Some FIS Member Federations require visas to enter and stay in the Republic of Brazil. The venue is located at Rodovia SP 318, Km 234 (Estrada São Carlos – Ribeirão Preto) - Parque Eco-Esportivo Damha – São Carlos, SP - CEP 13.566-770 Rollerski Equipment OC will provide official (marked) wheels for all the races. SRB is the rollerski and wheels official supplier of the Brazilian Rollerski Circuit. Skating The official rollerski for the men’s skating races will be SR 01 Skate Alu and SR 05 Skate-Z Alu (base:620mm) and SR 01 Skate Alu or SR 02 Skate Alu for Ladies The official wheel will be SRB Standard medium for Skating. Wheel dimensions: - diameter - 100mm - width - 24mm - material rubber Classic The official rollerskis for the men’s classic races will be CR 06 Classic Z-Alu (base: 700mm) and CR 06 Classic Z-Alu (base: 700mm) or CR 07+ Classic-Alu for Ladies The official wheel will be SRB Standard for Classic Wheel dimensions: - diameter - 80mm (CR 06) and 76mm (CR 07) - width - 38mm (CR 06) and 44mm (CR 07) - material rubber The OC will provide the competition rollerskis for the official training. A draw of the rollerskis and wheels provided by the OC will be performed by competition secretary on the TC meeting before each competition. Athletes or team captains must pick up the correspondent rollerski at the earliest 30 minutes and not later than 20 minutes before the race start. The athletes that bring their own rollerskis of the specified model will have their wheels replaced for the competitions’ wheels according to the draw. Those which do not bring their own rollerski from the specified model will receive one rollerski for the races provided by
