UNITEN management paid a courtesy visit on Tun Dato' Seri Utama (Dr.) Haji Abdul
Rahman bin Haji Abbas, who completed his term as the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang
and subsequently Chancellor of UNITEN on 30 April 2021. We thank Tun for his continued
support and guidance during his 16 years of service as our Chancellor.

Syukur alhamdulillah atas kenaikan gred yang diluluskan oleh
pihak universiti. Ucapan terima kasih saya terutamanya kepada
Ketua Jabatan saya iaitu Prof. Dato’ Dr. Siti Salbiah Mohamed
Shariff atas penghargaan ini sehingga membawa kepada
sokongan dan perakuan bagi kenaikan gred ini. Terima kasih juga
kepada pihak pengurusan yang telah membuat pertimbangan
kelulusan. Pastinya tidak saya lupakan dan ucapan terima kasih
tidak terhingga kepada semua rakan sepasukan saya di Pejabat
Pendaftar yang telah bersama saling bantu-membantu saya
dalam menguruskan jabatan ini. Semoga lebih ramai lagi rakan-
rakan kita yang lain yang cemerlang dalam menjalankan tugas
yang diamanahkan kepada mereka agar turut dapat diberikan
peluang kenaikan gred dan kenaikan pangkat. Semoga kita
semua dapat bersama menggerakkan UNITEN menuju kejayaan.
Alhamdulillah, syukur ke hadrat Ilahi atas kenaikan gred saya
pada April 2021 yang lalu. Terima kasih saya ucapkan kepada
semua yang telah memberikan kerjasama dan sokongan
yang baik kepada saya terutama seluruh warga ITMS,
UNITEN. Dengan kenaikan gred ini, saya sedar bahawa
tanggungjawab saya akan menjadi lebih besar dan perlu
memperbaiki serta memberikan yang lebih baik daripada
sebelum ini, insyaAllah saya akan cuba sehabis yang baik.
Saya mohon kepada semua untuk terus memberikan tunjuk
ajar dan kerjasama yang baik kepada saya.
Alhamdulillah. Terima kasih atas penghargaan yang
diberikan. Tiada yang mustahil untuk kita terus berjaya.
Kesilapan lalu jadikan motivasi agar tidak berulang. Terima
kasih juga kepada UNITEN kerana memberi peluang
kepada kami untuk terus berkhidmat dalam suasana
norma baharu yang serba mencabar ini. Semoga keadaan
ini akan menjadi lebih baik dan kita dapat memberikan
khidmat yang lebih cemerlang.

21 June 2021 - The meeting between the management of UNITEN
and Yayasan Pahang was held to explore the possibility of
developing strategic partnership between UNITEN and Yayasan
Pahang. Yayasan Pahang was represented by Tuan Haji Abdul
Razak Abu Musa Saari COO, Ms. Norazean, Ms. Safwati,
Ustaz Aminur and Ms. Norma.
22 June 2021 – Uni10 Care handed over a total of 8,500 face masks
to Lt. Col Azman Alias, Deputy Commander of the 505th Regiment
of the Territorial Army Camp, Pekan, Pahang. This contribution
was made possible by the individuals who contributed to Tabung
Uni10 Care. Congratulations!

22 June 2021 - Uni10 Care handed over contributions in the form of
daily necessities, cash and face masks to two asnaf families and a
UNITEN student who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is
hoped that these contributions would lessen their burden.
22 June 2021 – The CLICK & LEARN! USEFUL APPS FOR ONLINE
LEARNING WEBINAR programme was successfully conducted on
22 June. This webinar is a collaboration between UNITEN and
Muadzam Shah Polytechnic under Yayasan Canselor UNITEN grant
which aims to enhance one’s skills in using various latest applications
such as Canva, Padlet, WordWall and Google Classroom especially
in online teaching and learning sessions.

27 June 2021 – This time, our OSHE Executive/Lecturer discussed
about working from home. It was a very exciting live discussion that
focused on real life situations that we face due to the COVID-19
pandemic.
28 June 2021 - The Launching of MOG was held online and attended
by the Presidents and Vice Chancellors of GLU Council Members
comprising UNITEN, UTP, MMU and UniKL. The GLUs have provided
opportunities to reach individuals across the world through online
platforms. There has also been incredible growth in the online
education industry, and the GLUs have made valuable contributions
to increase their online presence.

30 June 2021 - This is another webinar series after the one held
in February this year on active learning online. Motivated by the
same noble mission to improve and enrich the teaching and
learning experience, the half-day webinar, this time in the form of
a workshop, which was held on 30 June 2021 was attended
by about 50 participants, the majority of which are the academic
staff of UNITEN.
In the spirit of togetherness and inclusivity, driven by the current
situation where seminars are mostly a click away, participation was
also open to the academic and support staff of other universities
and schools. In fact, what was planned to be a national event
became an international one with participation from Indonesia
and Thailand.

14 June 2021 – Dana Wakaf Ilmu (DWI) Joint Committee Meeting held on 14
June 2021 was attended by Perbadanan Wakaf Selangor (PWS) and
UNITEN representatives. DWI is a platform established to diversify
UNITEN’s financial revenue stream by growing Endowment Fund towards
being financially sustainable.
20 June 2021 – Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Kamal Nasharuddin Mustapha, UNITEN
Vice-Chancellor, delivered his speech at the Closing Ceremony of the 8th
Arabic Research ID International Scientific Forum (AISF) together with
Vice-Chancellors of University of Malaya and UniSZA from Malaysia.
The event was attended by almost 750 participants worldwide. Prof. Dato’
was also awarded the 'Scientific Leadership Badge’ during the event.

26 June 2021 – Sharing is a great act of kindness especially during this
pandemic. Helping people in need or simply sharing food and necessities
will lessen one’s burden. UNITEN Vice-Chancellor also had the chance to
practice this sharing act with the on-duty staff to express his appreciation
towards them; an act of kindness that can be practiced by everyone else
too.
28 June 2021 – Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Kamal Nasharuddin Mustapha received a
visit from Mr. Ahmad Hafizul Zainan, the Lead of Integrated Facility
Management (IFM), Property Services Department (PSD), TNB Global
Business Solutions.

28 June 2021 - The 11th Meeting of the Council for VCs and Presidents of
Government Linked Universities (GLU) consisting of Universiti Teknologi
Petronas (UTP), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Multimedia
University (MMU) and Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL). GLU has forged
strategic partnership through four pillars namely Academic, Research &
Innovation, Students Development and Sustainability Initiatives, in our
quest to develop a quality ecosystem to further enhance higher education
in this country.

The best decision I made in life was
when I took the initiative to apply for
the vaccine. It’s a simple process and I
hope everyone applies for it.
When I got vaccinated, the process
was smooth like butter. I am very
satisfied, and I am glad I made that
decision long ago. Vaccination is
a must, not a choice.
Ps: side effects, I felt better about
myself.

Alhamdulillah, saya bersyukur kerana telah
mendapatkan suntikan vaksin COVID-19
dos pertama pada 21 Mei lalu di samping
bangga dapat menunaikan tanggungjawab
"Kita Jaga Kita".
Saya percaya ramai sahabat yang rindu
untuk kembali ke pejabat dan berjumpa
dengan rakan sekerja, saya juga tidak
terkecuali.
Oleh itu, saya sarankan kepada semua
sahabat di UNITEN untuk segera
mendapatkan vaksin supaya kita dapat
kembali menjalani kehidupan normal
seperti dulu. Stay safe!
