Who We Are
Drew’s Trips is a family-run
company providing recreation
and travel services for people
with disabilities.
The company has been in business since 1983 and
is managed by a father-daughter duo, Drew and
Alexia.
Drew has been in the field of Special Education
and Special Needs Travel/Recreation since 1974.
He started his career as a special education
teacher and soon realized that there was a need
for social activities for people with disabilities and
thus, Drew’s Trips was born.
Alexia has worked for Drew's Trips for most of her
life, taking some time to study and work as a
Special Education Teacher in New York as well as
an Education in Emergencies Specialist around
the world.

Each program and trip we offer provides a
supportive, safe, and above all, happy experience
for those we serve. Every client is treated like

family as we provide an atmosphere that is casual,
friendly, upbeat, and sparked with fun.
From day trips in Boston, to vacations to Italy, to
exciting cruises, you name it and we’ve done it.
Our clients have traveled to Europe, the
Caribbean, and throughout the United States from
Maine to Alaska, Hawaii to Disney World with us.
We also offer exciting day and weekend trips
throughout New England and New York City.

After being in business for 39 years in the North
Shore and Boston Area, Drew’s Trips is excited to
expand our trips to the South Shore!
We have some great trips planned for this
summer, specifically geared toward our new
friends on the South Shore. Among others, the
trips include a day at the Roger Williams Zoo and
a ride on the Cape Cod Railroad.
We are also looking forward to having our South
Shore friends join us on the exciting overnight
trips and vacations we are doing together with the
rest of the Drew’s Trips family in 2022.

13CELEBRATE SUMMER ON THE CAPE
COD RAILROAD
Sunday, August 21, 2022
Join us for a delicious brunch on the Cape Cod
Central Train. We will drive you to Hyannis Cape
Cod to board the train. It will take you for a ride
on the Cape Cod countryside passing the Cape Cod
Canal while enjoying a wonderful meal. Then we
are off to do some shopping at either the
Christmas Tree Shop or Cuffy’s. What a way to

Please note that all prices and trip dates are
subject to change without prior notice due to fuel
prices, and/or other unforeseen circumstances.

31New Clients
To ensure that all clients have a safe and fun
experience traveling with us, we want to get to
know everyone prior to joining our trips. We want
to know things the clients enjoy, what gets them
excited, as well as additional support, if any, they
would need while traveling with us.
The first step in joining the Drew’s Trips family is
to fill out our fact sheet. All fact sheets are
reviewed by our staff before scheduling a call with
the client’s guardian or a staff member to discuss
how we can serve the client best and ensure that
they will have the time of their life traveling with
us.
In most cases, we also require new clients to
participate in a day trip prior to being accepted for
an overnight trip with us. This will give the client
the opportunity to meet our staff and other clients
and helps us to ensure that we are able to meet
the additional needs, if any, the client may have.

We recognize that individuals may have different
needs. We offer special services that can help
address specific needs.

Door-2-Door
We can provide safe and reliable one-way or
round-trip Door-2-Door transportation for any of
our overnight trips for an additional fee.

Designated Pick Up locations are determined 1-3
weeks prior to each trip & vary per trip. They are
based on client locations and required minimums,
except for trips requiring airfare that will depart
from Logan Airport.

34Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your trip for any reason,
Drew’s Trips will try to find another client to take
your spot on the trip or you can do it yourself. If
that works, we will charge you third-party
transfer fees for name changes, etc.
“We’re here to help”
If there is no one to take your spot on the trip, we
will charge you non-refundable third-party costs
such as airline and concert tickets, etc. if the
cancellation takes place a minimum of 30 days
prior to the start day of an overnight trip or 14
days prior to the start day of a day trip.
Cancellations or no-shows after the said periods
are subject to no refund.
We strongly recommend all clients joining us,
especially on overnight trips, get travel insurance
to help protect you from certain kinds of
unexpected events that can occur before or during
your trip.
