These supplies are for us to use in our classroom every day! Please bring them on the first day of class when you come with your child. You do not need to label supplies – we will put them in baskets and buckets for easy access. As you shop for shoes, please know that the children need tennis shoes. They may NOT wear sandals, flip flops, or crocs at school. Thank you for your cooperation. We are so excited to meet you!! Have a fun and safe summer! Your Kindergarten Teachers If you are purchasing these items at Office Depot/Office Max, please give them Deerfield’s school ID #: 70052210
First Grade School Supplies Dear Parents, Welcome to an exciting year in first grade! The following supplies will be helpful for your child. Supplies will be kept for your child’s personal use. Please label all supplies with your child’s name. For the binder and folders please write on the inside cover. In some cases we have recommended a certain type or brand name because we have found these brands to work far better than the alternatives. Please restrict your child to boxes of 24 crayons; more than this is difficult for a first grader to manage in a school setting. Where we have requested more than one of the same item, such as crayons, one will be saved for the second half of the year. When we return to in-school learning, please send your child’s school supplies in a large bag labeled with his/her name. During at-home learning, please keep your child’s supplies in an organized, accessible space for daily use. We appreciate your cooperation, and look forward to an exciting first grade year. □ 1 backpack-This will come to school every day. It should be large and roomy, with a wide opening.
