Dear Robin Hood Parents,
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year and is getting as excited as I am for
Opening Day 2020. I cannot believe that there are only 145 days until we
meet again at the gas pump.
I have been crisscrossing the country to meet with new families and catch up
with current ones. It’s always amazing to hear everyone’s stories about last
summer and to share our love for all things Robin Hood. We are all so lucky that
the Realm is our summer home.
Meanwhile, we are full steam ahead preparing for the start of camp. Scott and
Diane are busy hiring counselors for the upcoming summer while Michelle is
coordinating plans with all our former campers to round out our great staff. Lizz
and Katie are interviewing staff for our infirmary and office.
No matter where I go or who I talk to, every conversation leads to one of the true things about Robin Hood:
Our staff is the best in the camp business. This is not by accident and we work hard to make that happen.
Chuck and Michelle are working on pre-camp agendas already. Our goal is to train each and every counselor
to provide a safe and happy world for each and every camper. We expect them to invest 100% in the
campers’ experiences.
Jonas and Julia are already planning the color war break. I’m not sure how they will ever top last summer,
but I’m confident that they will. The Busses have been ordered for Beach Day and excursions. Plans are
cemented for our July 4th Extravaganza. And I promise we have some big surprises up our sleeves that I
look forward to announcing in our dining hall!
Just as we’re working to get your home away from home ready for you, you’ve got some work to do. Study
hard at school, be kind to each other and everyone you come across, and say thank you to your parents for
giving you the gift of Camp Robin Hood.

My name is Kendall Brown and I was thrilled to be Arrow
Group Leader this summer. Since August, I relocated to
merely two hours south of Freedom: Boston. Here, I study
Psychology at Boston University (go terriers), and during
my free time, I work as a Research Assistant in the Social
Learning lab. I get to play and work with children on a daily
basis—so it’s almost like camp—but I still miss everyone

Hello everyone! I just started my freshman year of

college at the University of Miami where I am focusing on
ader economics. I have been actively engaged in numerous club
opportunities and have become well acquainted with my
new college expectations. While I could not be at the New
York Reunion, I hope to see everyone soon. Have a great
rest of the year!
Skiunion: RH Staff Mini Ski Reunion
In December some of the specialty staff got together for a
“skiunion” in Bulgaria. They enjoyed spending time together,
catching up on what is going on in their lives, shredding the
mountains, and of course reminiscing about camp.
