PASTOR TYLER & AMBER SOLLIE SENIOR PASTORS OF LIFE CENTER MINISTRIES Senior Pastor Tyler and Amber Sollie have been navigating both life and ministry side-by-side for the past 15 years. Ty- ler’s roots at Life Center run deep; his story began when his parents met and married at Life Center in the 1970s, and he describes himself as being “homegrown in this place.” After graduating from Life Christian Academy in 1998, Tyler went on to Northwest University in Kirkland where he graduated in 2002 with a double major in Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies. During his college years, Tyler volunteered at Eas- tridge Church in Issaquah where he was hired as Youth Pas- tor after his graduation. Tyler and Amber were married in 2003, and the two of them served together at Eastridge for the next decade, an exciting time period where they expe- rienced both personal and professional growth – they saw Eastridge grow from 300 members to over 2,000, and their own family grew by three as they welcomed their children Judah, Justus, and Faith (now 12, 10, and 8, respectively). In 2012, the Sollie family relocated to Amber’s hometown of Yakima where Tyler and Amber served as Senior Associate Pastors of Stone Church for a short time before becoming Network Youth Directors of the Northwest Ministry Network, which serves nearly 350 church- es in Washington and North Idaho. Tyler and Amber spent their three years at the Northwest Ministry Network developing youth pastors and leaders, as well as hosting annual conferences and retreats. In 2015, Tyler and Amber felt the tug of a new assignment from the Lord – they weren’t sure what it was exactly, but they knew three things for certain: it was for the local church, it was Jesus-centered and Gospel-focused, and it would be a place with a heart to multiply. Little did they know, that assignment was a return to Life Center to serve as the lead pastors of Life Center Baker. Eleven months later, Life Center Baker moved south to the campus that is now Life Center Rainier. During that time, Tyler and Amber partnered to bring the staff members of what were formerly Life Center Baker and Real Life Family Center into one team, and facilitated growth in attendance, baptisms, discipleship, outreach, and health in the local church context, all while keeping in alignment with the overall mission and vision of Life Center. Since their return to the 253, Tyler and Amber have been enjoying all that the area has to offer, including running, coffee, cycling, writing, and Friday night “family parties” with their three kids. They believe the Lord has used all their personal and ministerial experiences over the past 15 years to prepare them for this opportunity to live their passion of knowing Jesus and making Him known.

2019 NOMINEE BIOGRAPHIES JUSTIN HOLMES I am a Commercial Real Estate agent with First Western Properties. I’ve been mar- ried for over 11 years to my wife Laura, we have three children Parker (7), Hadley (5), and Gavin (2). I grew up in a Jesus family and became a believer at a young age. I was fortunate to have some great role models outside of my parents who walked along side me and challenged me in my faith in my younger years. Laura and I have attended Life Center for the past 11 years and believe so heavily in what Life Center stands for and the mission of the church. I’ve had the opportunity to serve on the Life Manor Independent and Assisted Living Boards as well as most recently the Life Center Board for the past three years. We are also involved in other various ministries here at Life Center (ie. Backpack, Serve the City, etc.). KEITH SCHLEMLEIN I am a Business owner of NorthWest Construction Control Inc. and REO Asset Man- agement NW Inc. My wife Susan and I have five children, Heather, Drew, Ethan, Kait- lyn and Megan. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I thank him every day for his blessings and grace. My family and I attend the Life Center Rainier campus. I am involved with the Friday Night feed Ministry at the Tacoma Rescue Mission. I currently serve on the Life Center Board and my wife and I host a life group at our home. It is an honor to serve at our Church. KENDRA POWERS I am the Executive Director at Mission Systems Integrated Product Team (P-8 Pose- idon Program). I’ve been married to my husband Ken for 23 years and we have two children Nick (13) and Emily (10). I am thankful for my relationship with Jesus. I love Jesus and I love that He shows up in my life every day as an ever-present source of strength and hope. I am grateful for His forgiveness and I am inspired to share the joy I’ve found in Jesus. My husband and I joined the hospitality team shortly after becoming part of the Life Center family. We have been greeters at the front door on alternating Sundays for the last six years. Since becoming actively involved in the hospitality team, I have also been blessed to serve as an Usher Captain at Hope 253 each year, deliver holiday meals to families, and serve the community through Serve the City. Jesus also led me to the Esteem team where I was given the oppor- tunity to love and serve women who are at a vulnerable time in their journey. My walk with Jesus is a blessing and I pray that He will continue to reveal opportunities for me to serve.
2019 NOMINEE BIOGRAPHIES NATE ANGELO I am the Head of Wealth Management Consulting at Royal Bank of Canada. After growing up at Life Center it has now been our family’s home church for the last 17 years. My wife Jenny has served in many capacities at Life Center over the years. Our boys Riley (11), Levi (9) and Gannon (8) love running the halls with the won- derful friends we have here. God has led me/us to serving our community in many different ways from 1:1 mentorships, providing meals to the homeless as well as various boards and committees. We believe that our purpose is to take what we receive inside the church (Life Center) and share it with our community. Our service to others has turned into some of the biggest blessings in our lives and returning to serve on the Life Center board would be an honor. TALIA HASTIE I am a Marketing/Development Director. My husband Ron and I have two sons Ronnie and Cole. I have been blessed with a rich faith based heritage and have em- braced it all of my life. Nothing fulfills me more than following Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. He is an active part of my everyday life and I welcome the oppor- tunity to serve Him in any way possible.
