Ready, steady... GO The Commonwealth Games are coming to Glasgow this July and what better reason to get sporty and at the same time raise some money for Macmillan? Whether you’re a regular runner, a budding-badminton player or whimsical walker our A–Z has a range of challenges and events to suit all. So even if you’re not playing for your country, you’ll be representing the millions of people affected by cancer. Your key to success We’ve created a key to make it really easy to see what might suit those who are already a bit of a fitness fanatic. Set yourself a distance you’d like to achieve and go for it on a treadmill, rowing machine or exercise bike. Ask friends and workmates to sponsor you and set up a blog to update people on your progress. Walk to work Take steps towards feeling fitter by walking to work instead of taking your usual mode of transport. Then whirl all the money raised, right over to Macmillan. Zumbathon Encourage your local Zumba® group to take part in a zumbathon to raise money for Macmillan.
