Central University of Rajasthan Programme of Study and Eligibility Requirements for Foreign nationals seeking admission Applications of Foreign Nationals nominated by the Govt. of India under scholarship scheme and self-financing Foreign Nationals shall be entertained for the Courses. The foreign nationals need not appear in the Central Universities Common Entrance Tests for admission; however, they should have passed the equivalent Qualifying Examination from an Indian or Foreign University / Institution. Provision to the extent of 10% of the total seats in each course on supernumerary basis for Foreign Nationals is available. Admission Procedure (For postgraduate programmes (M.Sc. / M.A / M.Com / MBA) and Integrated M.Sc. B.Ed. / Integrated M.Sc. programmes) (I) Under Self-financed category:-The Foreign Student, who wish to join under Self-financed category are required to submit their application along with bio-data and academic qualifications through concerned Indian diplomatic mission abroad or the diplomatic mission of the country of the applicant in India for admission in the desired course. The respective student / Embassy (with a copy to the student concerned) will be informed about the university decision. (II) Foreign Students with Scholarship of Government of India (Ministry of Human Resource Development or the Ministry of External Affairs etc.):- Candidates desirous of admission under this Fellowship Programme are required to apply through the Indian High Commission / Embassy as the case may be, in their respective Countries. They will send the application to ICCR Government of India and then ICCR will forward the application(s) to various University / Institute in India as the case may be for consideration. In case the applicant is found suitable, confirmation of their admission will be sent directly to the concerned agency sponsoring their admission. (III) For postgraduate programmes (M.Tech. / M.Pharm. /M.Arch. Course):- The foreign students under both the categories mentioned under (I) and (II) above must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria given as under (a) Candidates who have appeared and qualified in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering [GATE] / GPAT and who, in addition, possess the requisite qualifications as indicated hereunder, are eligible for admission to Post-graduate course leading to M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch. Candidates who are due to appear in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply, but at the time of interview they will be required to produce a certificate from the Institution concerned to the effect that they have completed the qualifying examination by 20th June 2012 of the year of admission. (b) Candidates have to fulfill other conditions as defined in the respective prospectus of studies.
All the foreign nationals have to fulfil the following conditions (I) At the time of submitting the application (a) All the foreign nationals under self-financed category should submit their application on prescribed format along with all relevant documents, which can be downloaded from the website www.curaj.ac.in. (b) The applications of scholarship-holding Foreign Nationals (under various schemes) are routed through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations/ Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Education), Govt. of India, New Delhi. The antecedents of the candidate have been verified by the forwarding Agencies / Ministry and found in order. (c) Copy of the grade transcripts with the explanation of the assigned grades including certificate of secondary school, Diplomas and Degrees of examination passed. Original certificates should not be sent. (d) Attested copies of the syllabi and curricula of the qualifying degree adopted in Colleges/Universities attended with full details. Without this information the application will not be considered. (e) Copy of the passport indicating your nationality and personal details. (f) Financial undertaking either A letter of recommendation from the Govt. certifying that the fees will be paid by the Govt., or A copy of the student‟s bank statement showing a balance of US $ 1000 (in case of the 2-yr. post graduate program) or US $ 2000 (in case of a Ph.D. program) . (g) That they have adequate knowledge of English and/or Hindi as per the requirements of the Course. (h) If English is not the first language or language of medium of instruction (during secondary & tertiary education), a pass in any of the following two tests will be required:- (i) The Test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL), administered by the Educational Testing Service in the US, in which scores of at least 580 overall and 4.0 in the Test of Written English are required. The computer based test requires scores of atleast 240 overall and 4.0 in essay writing. The internet based test requires scores of atleast 95 overall with a minimum score of 20 in writing. (ii) The International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) test, administered by the British Council, in which scores of 6 or more in each section and an overall score of 6.5 are required. Test scores more than two years old will not be accepted for consideration.
(II) At the time of admission (a) They have valid Residential permit in India granted for studies /Student Visa/Research Visa for the prescribed duration of the concerned Course. (b) They fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements. (c) Candidates must submit medical fitness certificate duly verified by the Ministry/Agencies. (d) The Degrees / Certificates of the candidates must be recognized and approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) / Commonwealth Universities/ International Association of Universities (IAU) as equivalent to the corresponding Indian Degrees / Certificates. (e) The inter-se merit among the applicants of various foreign nationals will be decided by the university, which shall be deemed as final. (f) All the eligible foreign nationals are required to fill up the Registration Form prescribed by the University at the time of admission. (g) Further details regarding admission of foreign nationals are available on the website www.curaj.ac.in (III) General instruction (a) There is no maximum age limit for foreign nationals. (b) Last Date for submission of Applications by Foreign Nationals: _________ *every year for forthcoming academic session. (c) The application (hard or soft copy) along with all relevant documents should be submitted to Dean(Academics) Central University of Rajasthan, Bandarsindri, NH-8 Ajmer–Jaipur Highway, District:-Ajmer, 305801(Rajasthan), India on or before the prescribed date. *Will be decided by the University
Intake Capacity for PG / Integrated Courses For Intake capacity for admission to a post-graduate / Integrated programme of studies in any discipline, please refer to the table given below. However, for foreign nationals the admission to post-graduate course is rather restricted (10% of the total number of seats) and the applicant should have an excellent academic record to stand a fair chance for admission. (ii) If the applicant has passed the qualifying exam where grades are awarded and: (a) Where the Grade Sheet does not mention the equivalent percentage of marks from grade points, the candidate should submit such a certificate of conversion from the concerned Institution mentioning either the converted percentage, or the formula for the actual conversion of grade point average to percentage of marks. (b) Where the Grade Sheet itself mentions the equivalent percentage of marks from grade points, or the formula for such conversion, the candidate should get both sides of the Degree / Grade Sheet photocopied showing the equivalent percentage of marks / conversion formula and enclose with the Application Form. (iii) “Aggregate percentage of marks” does not include grace marks awarded to a candidate.
