Using Sec 4 N(A) Level results How can I enter a Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) Polytechnic? Who should apply: Students who meet the PFP eligibility criteria* and are certain that they wish to pursue a polytechnic education * Eligibility Check: Sec 4N(A) student who has sat for GCE N-Level 2017 Obtained ELMAB3 (English, Math, 3 Best subjects) aggregate of 11 points or less (before deduction of CCA bonus points) Obtained Grade 3 or better for all subjects used in the computation of your ELMAB3 aggregate (Note: Certain PFP courses require an EL grade of 2.) If you can check all 3 boxes above, you’re eligible!

Enter poly after completing S5N(A) How can I enter a Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) Polytechnic? ELR2B2 is used for admissions into the Polytechnics. Enter ITE first, then apply to poly later How can I enter a Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE) Polytechnic? Net Cumulative GPA (including ITE CCA bonus points) is used for admissions into the Polytechnics. Students must obtain minimum qualifying GPA (2.0 for Higher Nitec; 3.5 for Nitec) to be eligible for progression to the Polytechnics. Nitec graduates are also eligible progress to Higher Nitec if they meet the minimum qualifying GPA (2.3 for Engineering and ICT; 2.8 for Business and Services). Application for DPP • Students eligible for DPP will be invited to apply for the DPP. • Students eligible for DPP should submit DPP applications online via the DPP application portal (www.ite.edu.sg).The application window will open at - 2.30 pm on 18 Dec 2017 – 5.00pm 21 Dec 2017 20
Release of DPP Posting results • 1st phase DPP posting results will be released on 26 Dec 2017 @ 9 am. • Students who receive a DPP offer are required to log on to the ITE application portal between 9.00 am on 26 December 2017 and 3.00 pm on 28 December 2017 to accept or reject the DPP offer. • You can also check posting results online via the respective application portals.
Accepting or Rejecting DPP • Students are required to log on to the DPP application portal to indicate whether you wish to accept or reject the DPP offer. • Students who do not have a confirmed place in the DPP should report to their secondary schools on 2 January 2018 for Secondary 5.
Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) •The PFP is a one-year foundation programme for polytechnic-bound students offering a practice- oriented curriculum taught by polytechnic lecturers. •PFP students are given provisional places in diploma programmes, subject to them passing all modules in the one-year PFP.

Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) • For N(A) students who are academically strong and clearly polytechnic bound • Suitable for students with blended learning styles (conceptual and applied) 25
Application for PFP • Application for PFP will commence in January 2018, on the day when the results of the GCE Ordinary Level Examinations are released. On the same day, students eligible for the PFP will receive a copy of Form P, inviting you to apply for the PFP. • Students interested in applying to the PFP should first progress to Secondary 5 on 2 January 2018, while waiting for the outcome of the PFP posting. 26
For students who are only interested in the PFP: •You should progress to Sec 5, and apply for the PFP in January. •If their application is successful, they will withdraw from Sec 5 by the end of January 2018. All PFP-bound students are required to attend classes up till the last Friday of January. • Please note: Being eligible to apply for the PFP does not guarantee a successful placement into a PFP course. •For students who are only interested in the DPP: •should apply for the DPP once they receive their N(A)-Level results in December. Should they accept a DPP offer, they should not return to their secondary schools for Sec 5N(A). • You should apply to the DPP • between • 18 Dec 2.30pm to 21 Dec 5.00pm.
For students who are uncertain and/or interested in both PFP and DPP: •If you are certain that you do not want to continue with Sec 5 and pursue the GCE O-Levels, you may apply for the DPP in December. Upon the release of the GCE O-Level results in January, eligible students may apply for the PFP. If you are offered and accept a PFP place, you may withdraw from the DPP. Alternatively, •You may progress to Sec 5 first. Upon release of the GCE O-Level results in January, you may then apply for the PFP and DPP concurrently.

Procedure • Check personal particulars on result slip. • Fill in application Form A for admission to Secondary 5 NA in 2018 if eligible • Fill in application Form B for retention in Secondary 4 NA in 2018 if eligible • Use Form N for application to HIGHER NITEC/NITEC courses. Online application.
Procedure for Admission to Sec 5 NA • Submission deadline to school General Office for Form A is 20 Dec (Wed) 2017, 5 pm. • A photocopy of your result slip must be attached together with Form A submission
Procedure (Repeat Sec 4NA) For students who wants to repeat: • Meet Mr. Patrick Goh on 19 Dec 2017 (Tue) at 10 am @ the General Office. • Bring along : 1. Form B 2. a copy of your original GCE ‘N’ Level results slip
Other Information Appeal for Review of GCE ‘N’ Level Result • Collect appeal forms from Mr. Trevor by the end of today • Appeal form must be commented and endorsed by Principal and subject teachers • Pay fee of $112.35 per subject appeal (inclusive of 7% GST) • Appeal not later than 22 Dec 2017 • Students who do not have a strong ground for submitting an appeal should be discouraged from doing so • Outcome will be released by 29 January 2018
Other Information • Please check that your personal particulars (such as statutory names and Hanyu Pinyin names) are printed correctly on your result slips as the same personal particulars will be printed on your certificates. • Any request for amendments to students' personal particulars after 29 Dec 2017 will incur an administration charge of S$50 per certificate.
