Careers NSW: Overview • Premier’s press release on 17th March announced the establishment of Careers NSW - a new service that “ will provide every worker, graduate and student in NSW with access to quality and personalised careers guidance and advice. Careers NSW is a response to a review of the NSW vocational “Everyone in NSW will have access to a confidential career adviser, education and training sector by David Gonski AC and Peter regardless of their experience or education, to help find a job or change Shergold AC, In the Same Sentence, that recommended NSW profession and drive the COVID-19 recovery”. Careers NSW: DESIRED OUTCOMES WHY ARE WE DOING THIS ? Project background The Careers NSW PILOT program will be delivered by Service NSW in partnership with the Department of Education and aims to providing career advice for targeted specific adult cohorts. The online pilot is expected to launch in September 2021 and will be used to inform a full- scale Careers NSW roll out in mid-2022. The full-scale model will see Careers NSW services expanded to include, school students, their career advisors, parents, school leavers, the unemployed, and both younger and mature aged workers.
