GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

                                   PRE ENTRIES CLOSE July 26th 2021

AFTER CLOSING DATE AND THROUGHOUT THE SHOW, POST ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED WITH A
PENALTY OF $5.00 PER CLASS. ENTRY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNLESS RELEASE IS SIGNED AND
ENTRIES ARE PAID IN FULL or OPEN CHECK.

   1.  AMA Rules apply for all Mules and Donkeys.
   2.  Judge’s decisions are final.
   3.  Be ready and at the in-gate before your class. Once gate is closed no admittance, no refund.
   4.  Management reserves the right to combine/cancel classes with 3 or less riders.
   5.  Addition of a class will be allowed with a post entry fee.
   6.  Showing age as of January 1 will determine your age group.
   7.  NO REFUNDS without a Veterinarian’s certificate.
   8.  NO DOGS ALLOWED ON SHOW GROUNDS unless on a leash and controlled by a person. This will
       be strictly enforced! You will be asked to leave without refunds if this rule is not followed.
   9. Spectators are to keep hands and objects out of the arenas. No sitting or leaning on the arena fences
       is allowed. Courtesy to exhibitors is always expected.
   10. All ties will be broken by number of 1st places, then number of 2nd places and so forth, if required.
   11. All AMA registration numbers MUST BE on your entry form if you are going for year-end and AMA
       points.
   12. All non-resident exhibitors will be charged a $10.00 per horse per day fee. If you are camping, this will
       be included in your camp fees and will not be charged at the entry sign-in. Day haul-in will be charged
       at sign-in with entries.
   13. Appropriate WESTERN attire and tack required. No short-sleeved shirts. Chaps, silver, riata and
       hobbles are optional. ASTM-SEI approved hard hat with chin straps for Youth Classes required.
   14. Appropriate ENGLISH attire and tack required. ASTM-SEI approved hard hats with chin straps in place
       are mandatory for jumping classes, and all Youth Classes.

We will do our best to make our show run smoothly. Please be at the designated area before your classes
begin. Once checked in please do not leave the designated holding area.

To help make this show a success, we need the help of sponsors. We are offering different levels of
sponsorships. With your sponsorship, you may display a banner in our arena. Please bring your banner to the
Entry Booth before the show begins. If you are considering a sponsorship in our show please make a separate
check for this payable to “Bear Valley Springs Horsemen’s Association”. Please indicate sponsorship on
your check.

Participation in any USPC activity constitutes a release to be photographed and/or videotaped. Said photographs and/or
videotapes may be posted, published or broadcast at the discretion of USPC. USPC utilizes e-mail to communicate with
members, by submitting an e-mail address on this application, authorization of this form of correspondence is implied.
I do hereby agree to hold harmless/indemnify the Bear Valley Springs Property Association, the BVSPC,
Equestrian Center personnel, any agents, officials, administrators, and associated personnel from any and all
associated show committees from any and all responsibly and/or liabilities in case of injury, theft, accident,
damage or loss to myself, my animals and/or my equipment. I agree and know that Equine related activities
can be an inherent risk activity.
All entrants must sign a separate liability release for the BVSA at check in.

Equestrian Center Campground Rules

As everyone knows we are still in a drought situation here in California. Please conserve
water. No bathing of animals, bucket and sponge only please. We are all in this together so
please help in any way possible to conserve water.

          All overnight stays require a reservation and are subject to the fees
           below.
          All Camps are reserved on a first come basis with deposit.
          Arrivals prior to 12:00 pm on Thursday July 29th 2021 will be subject to
           additional fees. All Participants must depart facility by Monday August
           2nd 2021 unless prior arrangements have been approved in advance by
           management.
          All dogs must be on a leash or contained at all times.
Owners of loose dogs will be asked to leave the grounds; if we ask you to leave you will not
be issued a refund.
          No fires allowed. Propane and briquettes BBQ’s are allowed.
          No tying of animals or high lines is allowed to the trees.
          When mounted, walk only within the Equestrian Center Amenity.
          Bear Valley Springs (BVSA) trail system is privately owned. Event
           Participants are required to stay at the Equestrian Center during the
           event. Trail riding is strictly prohibited unless prior approval has been
           granted by the BVSA management.

                             DIRECTIONS TO BVS EQUESTRIAN CENTER
    From the Highway 14 take Highway 58 towards Tehachapi. Take the 202 exit (which
     turns into Tucker Rd.) Continue to Valley Blvd (Highway 202). Turn right on Valley
     Blvd/Hwy202. (There will be all right hand turns until you turn into the Equestrian
     Center). Continue on 202 until you come to a four-way stop this is Cummings Valley Rd.
     DO NOT turn left on the 1st Cummings Valley RD. Continue to the stop sign which is
     Bear Valley Rd. Turn right. Continue to the gate. Be sure and enter in the left hand
     drive lane to the gate, stop and get your road pass. Once you’re in Bear Valley the
     Equestrian Center is approximately 2 miles further. It will be a left hand turn shortly
     after the reduce speed to 35 MPH. You will also cross a horse crossing just before the
     entrance to the Center.
    From the Freeway 99 take Highway 58 towards Tehachapi-Follow all the same
     directions above once you’re on Highway 58.
