Why European BIBFRAME Workshops? ―The aim of the BIBFRAME Workshop in Europe is to be a forum for sharing knowledge about the practice of, production with, and planning of BIBFRAME implementation. ―We bring together people working in the transition from MARC to Linked Data using the BIBFRAME model and related tools. ―The workshop areas are strongly focused on the practical implementation of BIBFRAME, not a theoretical Linked Data / Semantic Web event. 4 May 2021
Registrations of 2020 Workshop ―275 registrations from 29 countries ―Real participations not so much – maximum app. 170 participants ―Physical workshop 2019 was 93 participants from 20 countries‘ ―So: The Covid-19 pandemic gave broader participation 4 May 2021

Dialogue RSC / BIBFRAME community ― Meeting during the 2020 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia 2020-01-26 ― The conversation continued at the 2020 ALA Midwinter Conference in Philadelphia between representatives of the RDA Steering Committee and the larger BIBFRAME community (which includes the Library of Congress/NDMSO, LD4P, Share-VDE, and the organizer group of the annual BIBFRAME workshops in Europe). A possible field of future cooperation is an approach to application profiles. ―Since January 2020 no physical ALA meetings….. 4 May 2021

5th Annual Meeting 2021 ―21-23 September 2021: Virtual Event ―The Organizer Group are excited about the conference's virtual format and the opportunity it presents for wider participation of library and information colleagues from across the globe with a shared interest in the use of BIBFRAME and other ontologies. We welcome proposals that discuss practical and/or experimental aspects of current work in this area. ―Contributors may submit proposals for presentations (15 minutes), lightning talks (5 minutes) or panel presentations (up to 30 minutes). ―During the conference there will also be the opportunity to suggest actual inspired lightning talks 4 May 2021
