Print to PDF in Windows ● Remove the Internet Archive navigation bar by clicking the Firefox ● Control+P to print OR click on Menu buttons and choose Print ● Select Microsoft Print to PDF or Save as PDF ● Save to resources folder
Save to Wayback Machine ● Copy and paste the URL into https://web.archive.org/save/ ● Copy and paste the URL in the Save Page Now box on the Wayback Machine homepage ● Browser add-ons or extensions
“Potential Security Risks” If you are attempting to go to a current website that warns you about Potential Security Risks, you can try entering that URL into the Wayback Machine to see if you can use the site before it was infected with malware or otherwise compromised.
Minor Changes to URL ● Remove .html at end of web address ● Remove everything after domain extension (.com, .net, etc) ● Flip between http and https in URL ● If the URL only has /catalogs and no preceding info, copy & paste remaining URL & try again
Flash? ● Adobe announced in 2011 it was ending support for Flash in 2017 & discontinuing in December 2020 ● Adobe starting block Flash Player 1/12/21 ● Most browsers have stopped supporting it ● IA generally wasn’t able to archive Flash (its Flash video games & Flash movies repository uses a Flash emulator)
