TO N Y ’ S C O R N E R A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES It is a pleasure for Bay Olympic to welcome Auckland City to Olympic Park for the first ever meeting between the two Clubs. City’s Coach, Jose Figueira, is no stranger to our Park and is remembered for a number of scintillating performances for the Bay back in 2004! Auckland City, over a number of years, set the standard for all Clubs in the region with their very professional and successful approach to the game. They are, and have been, the leaders of Club Football in New Zealand. However, that should only encourage the opposition to challenge them and Paul Marshall and the Bay Olympic team will be doing just that today. Auckland City are currently on top of the table with a 4 point lead over nearest rivals Auckland United, who they beat 3-1 last week. The Bay are in fourth place after victory over Melville United last Saturday. Bay Olympic are fighting for a top four finish and a place in the National League. COME ON THE BAY!! Close connections between Bay Olympic and Auckland City I have already mentioned Jose Figueira’s connection with Bay Olympic, but he is certainly not the only one with ties to both Clubs. Our own coach, Paul Marshall, was involved at Kiwitea St for a number of years and coached Auckland City in 2006/7. Well known Bay Olympic favourites James Pritchett, Liam Mulrooney, Chad Coombes, Mario Bilen, Tom Doyle and Darren White are players with connections to both Clubs. Of the current Auckland City squad, Addison Stewart and Cameron Brown were both Bay Olympic junior and youth players and Cameron also played a number of premier games for Bay Olympic in 2017. WHATEVER YOUR PROPERTY NEEDS ARE - WITH BAYLEYS IT’S MADE POSSIBLE. Need a bigger garden? Time to sell the family home? Or perhaps you’re looking for an investment property? It’s a world of possibilities out there, so it’s great to know that Bayleys can provide you with the market knowledge, knowhow and support to get the result you want. FIND OUT HOW BAYLEYS MAKES IT POSSIBLE AT BAYLEYS.CO.NZ We still think you look better in green Mario! A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES LICENSED UNDER THE REAA 2008 5
