INTRODUCTION TO PROGRAM PROGRAM GOAL To produce graduates with sound knowledge in the actuarial field through exploration in the theoretical and application of mathematics, statistics, economics and finance, able to think critically in problem solving as well as capable to increase competitiveness in the national and international levels. PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES 1. Graduates build professions related to actuarial science or related fields. 2. Graduates engage in lifelong learning and interdisciplinary learning in industry or academic institutions based on actuarial science in industry. 3. Graduates contribute to sustainable development and well-being of the community.
Working Area Area Application Banking and Financial Services Deal with product portfolio, capital management and risk analysis. Some leading insurance companies now have their own established banking operations, with actuaries filling many of the senior executive positions relating to finance and risk. Consulting Advise clients on actuarial financial risks Enterprise Risk Management Manage all types of risks at an enterprise or corporate level Health and Retirement Financing Offer advice on social insurance issues: Medical insurance, Critical illness, Disability insurance, Public health systems Investments and Fund Management Focus on asset risks, hedging strategy and structured finance Pricing & Reserve Design insurance product features and pricing, calculate the reserve requirements Reinsurance Estimate insurance risk for a reinsurer that accept risk from a direct insurance company
