WELCOME At Liverpool Hope we pride ourself on knowing our students, allowing them to learn from top researchers in dynamic, smaller sized classes across our two teaching campuses; Hope Park and the Creative Campus. Set in the green surroundings of Childwall, Hope Park is a short bus ride from the city centre giving students the best of both worlds; a friendly campus to live and learn, and the vibrant city to socialise, shop and eat. Our largest campus, Hope Park is an education village with both en-suite and shared accommodation, a state-of-the-art gym and a sports complex filled with various facilities. It houses a friendly student bar; ‘Our Place’ hosts live music, comedy nights and has a gaming zone. Just a 10-minute walk from the heart of Liverpool city centre, The Creative Campus is a hub of creativity and inspiration. The Grade II-listed Capstone Theatre and the Cornerstone Building are just some of the spaces that are dedicated to the creative arts. The campus is an inspiring place to live and study. Aigburth Park is our residential campus, around three miles from Hope Park and the city centre. Surrounded by beautiful parks, a wealth of trendy bars, shops and local transport links to and from the heart of the city, it remains a popular home for students.

All Gibraltarian students follow the student loans in the United Kingdom, where they apply for a loan from the Student Loans Company which is then repaid in full by the Government of Gibraltar. A CITY TO CALL YOUR OWN THIS IS LIVERPOOL Liverpool is a city like no other. From world-famous architecture and magnificent museums, to music legends revolutionising popular culture, Liverpool has always been a place of creativity. Through spectacular festivals, dramatic sporting attractions and unique art, the city continues to be at the heart of UK culture, attracting millions of visitors every year. There is something for everyone in the city that has been voted one of Britain’s best travel destinations (Telegraph, 2018).
MUSIC It’s impossible to imagine Liverpool without music – or music without Liverpool. Birthplace of the Beatles, the world’s most famous pop group, the city is home to a host of first-class festivals, including Sound City, Liverpool Irish Festival, and world-leading dance festival Creamfields. The city’s M&S Bank Arena Liverpool hosts everything from big name acts like Rihanna and the Arctic Monkeys, to major events like the MTV Europe Music Awards. SPORT With the Grand National, golf and of course – football, there are plenty of sporting events to keep even the most avid sports fan entertained. Liverpool is home to two Premier League football teams; what better place to come and watch the match? CULTURE Liverpool has a wide range of world-class art galleries and museums, including Tate Liverpool and the International Slavery Museum. Liverpool Empire Theatre attracts all the latest touring theatre productions, while the Playhouse, Everyman, Royal Court and Unity theatres offer a rich and varied programme of classic and contemporary productions. OUR ACCOMMODATION PROVIDES YOU WITH A SECURE AND FUN PLACE TO LIVE WHILE YOU PROGRESS WITH YOUR STUDIES. All the teachers and lecturers I’ve come into contact with are friendly and enthusiastic about their subject. WE HAVE THREE ACCOMMODATION SITES: HOPE PARK The 532 rooms available are reserved for first year undergraduates and include both en-suite and shared facilities rooms. The en-suite halls at Hope Park provide you with a single bed, double wardrobe, study area, chair, drawers and shelves, plus an en-suite shower room and toilet. We also have six traditional halls of residence with shared bathrooms, providing an informal and friendly environment for students who enjoy socialising and making friends. CREATIVE CAMPUS Our accommodation is situated just outside the city centre and is convenient for all amenities associated with city living, while being away from the main hustle and bustle. The modern, purpose-built hall is situated in Angel Field, a beautiful landscaped garden. AIGBURTH PARK STUDENT VILLAGE Aigburth Park is a residential campus approximately three miles from the city centre and Hope Park. The halls are set in private landscaped gardens and there is a wealth of shops, banks, bars and restaurants, plus a library nearby. DID YOU KNOW? STUDENT SUPPORT The thought of going to university can be both exciting and daunting. You will be taking on a new academic challenge and may be living away from home for the first time – a huge step for anyone. Remember, everyone coming to university feels exactly the same and our aim is to ensure that you have the best possible experience, both in and out of class. ACADEMIC AND LEARNING SUPPORT Our academic subject tutors and personal support tutors are based within each Faculty and offer academic support. Writing mentors are available to offer support to help you with essay planning, developing your academic writing style and understanding assignment feedback. Study skills support can help with note taking, organising your work, timekeeping and exam preparation.
STUDENT SUPPORT AND WELL-BEING The Student Support and Well-being team provide an integrated one-stop shop for well-being support resources. Services include financial advice, access to counselling and mental well- being support. Our priority is to make your time at Liverpool Hope an enjoyable and successful experience. Previous well-being events have included puppy visits. SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS WITH A DISABILITY We are committed to enabling equality of opportunity in education, and will take reasonable steps to meet both the general need for access and the specific requirements of individuals with additional support needs. SPORTING LIFE
FOOTBALL With two of the country’s biggest football teams in one city, it’s fair to say that Liverpool loves its football. Here at Hope, our men’s and women’s teams regularly compete at a high level in the British Universities & Colleges Sport league. GAELIC FOOTBALL One of Ireland’s four major traditional Gaelic games – Gaelic Football is a thriving sport at Hope. The men’s team recently became the first-ever British university team to win the All-Ireland Corn na MacLeinn trophy, while the women’s team was crowned the British University Ladies champion. CHEERLEADING Quickly becoming the UK’s fastest growing sport, our cheerleading society welcomes anyone to join in, have fun and socialise – no experience necessary. RUGBY UNION Whether you have played before or just fancy trying out something new and getting fitter, there is no better way to do it. Rugby is a true team sport where every individual is important and the team comes first. We offer many more sports teams here at Liverpool Hope.
