Celebrating the breadth and beauty of Black history and culture, our 47th season is as diverse as it is ambitious: 4 productions, 3 collaborations, 2 languages, all culminating in 1 exciting year! Join us as we take you on a journey around the world—from Canada to the U.S. to Haiti and South Africa—this will be our grandest season to date! 432–3680 Jeanne-Mance We begin in the United States, in partnership with Halifax’s Montréal QC, H2X 2K5 Neptune Theatre, with an award-winning play that puts the 514.932.1104 spotlight on the greatest hero of the American Civil Rights info@blacktheatreworkshop.ca Movement, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Then in January, we team up with the Segal Centre for Performing Arts on a trip down BlackTheatreWorkshop.ca to South Africa, with a play by one of its most celebrated playwrights, Athol Fugard. In February, our annual school tour for Black History Month takes us to Haiti with a story of discovery Special thanks to the following and acceptance, presented in both official languages. The Annual Vision Celebration Gala is our most 32nd ANNUAL glamourous event of the year, and an official Gala VISION launching pad for Black History Month festivities in Montreal. This formal gathering brings together artists, dignitaries and community members to celebrate the achievements CELEBRATION of an individual who has made significant contributions to the Black community through culture and the performing arts in Canada. Join us as we celebrate a true Changemaker in the Montreal Black Community: Don Jordan! A Montrealer born into a family of artists, Don was completely caught by the performing bug. He pursued dance training by studying different techniques including African Dance, Jazz, Modern and TICKETS ARE Classical Ballet.
