GENERAL ENGLISH We offer 1-25 week courses (including full Academic Year) of 15-30 hours per week in: • Beginner English (A1-A2 level) • Intermediate English (B1-B2 level) • Advanced English (C1-C2 level) • IELTS and FCE exam preparation (B1+ level) COURSE SUMMARY Course length 1-25 weeks Lessons per week 15-30 hrs Monday to Friday Lesson times Morning: 9h30 - 13h Afternoon: 13h30 - 17h Class size Max. 15 Age 18 years+ Start dates Every Monday A day trip to one of the main tourist attractions in Cork city or a trip to Cobh, Blarney, Ring of Kerry or Dublin, is also included as part of the social & cultural programme. You can check your level before you start a course with us using our online language assessment test. The test result will help us place you in the right class.

BUSINESS ENGLISH We also offer Business English courses which will equip you with the English Language skills that you need to work in a business environment. COURSE SUMMARY Course length 1 - 25 weeks Lessons per week 15-20 hrs Monday to Friday Lesson times Morning: 9h30 - 12h45 Afternoon: 13h30 - 16h45 • By combining selected course materials with dynamic face-to-face tutorials and workshops, based on real business scenarios, students develop the language skills they need to communicate confidently in an English speaking environment. • All day trips (on Saturday) are also included as part of this course. • As an English-only course, English Talks Business English is aimed at competent Level B1 / B1+ students. • We offer a 4-week intensive Business English Course (18 hrs p/w) which includes a combination of tutorials, conversation classes, workshops and social / cultural outings. • There will be 3 progress tests throughout the course and you will receive an English Talks Business English Certificate of Achievement on completion of the course.
INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION PROGRAMME (PRE-UNIVERSITY PROGRAMME) Secure your future with a guaranteed place at university! The International Foundation Programme is a one year pre-university qualification. It covers a significant degree of English as well as subject-specific modules. Guaranteed entry onto courses in: • Engineering • Biology • Chemistry • Business • Finance • Computing and Game Design Course Start Date: September & January (Full Academic Year) Entry Requirements: • A High School certificate. • Minimum IELTS score of 4.5 and no less than 4.0 in any section (or equivalent).
SUMMER CAMPS The Ultimate Summer Experience! 1. Airport Pickup + Accommodation + Food + Course + Multi-Activities and much more! We incorporate a diverse range of indoor and outdoor activities into the language programme: morning sessions focus on developing English language skills while the afternoon is full of fun-packed activities. Suitable for both adults and teenagers, at 6 different levels - from beginner to advanced. During the summer months (June, July and August) we provide morning and afternoon classes (Monday-Friday). General English classes (15 hrs p/w) are combined with various afternoon activities, such as sports and team games (soccer, bowling). We can also offer hiking, horse riding, visits to museums, castles and historical monuments. 2. Airport Pickup + Accommodation + Food + Course + Multi-Activities + University Tours If you’re thinking of university progression in Ireland, you should choose this unique summer course. MEDICAL INSURANCE & LEARNER PROTECTION All non-EEA students are required to have a private medical insurance, arranged either personally or through a group scheme before registering for an Irish Residence Permit (IRP). English Talks offers an approved insurance policy with limited liabilities. Your policy will be issued only upon receipt of full tuition fee and registration with the school. Students from non-EEA countries are not covered for any free medical attention off-campus and must therefore have their own private insurance. Enrolled Learner Protection offers protection to students in two ways. Firstly, by covering their fees and secondly, through extensive auditing and quality control of participating schools. DO I NEED A VISA? • If you are from a country which is part of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA) & Switzerland, you do not need a visa to travel to Ireland. • If you are from a country which is not part of the EU, EEA & Switzerland, then you will need to check if you need a visa before travelling to Ireland. • If you need a visa, you must apply for your visa before travelling to Ireland. You must register with immigration after you arrive in Ireland in order to be issued with your student visa. • If you do not need a visa to travel to Ireland, you should still register with immigration and/or your embassy upon arrival. • When you complete the online application form, a staff member will contact you to help you complete the registration process. You will receive all the letters and supporting documentation required for a visa from the school. We will also guide you through the process of submitting & preparing your paperwork.
