Welcome to the inaugural ASCE Cup! We are so happy that you have joined us on this adventure. This league will encompass eight events, four MAJOR and four MINOR events. The MAJOR events will occur with the entire league present where everyone will meet at the same day/time to compete in the event. The MINOR events will occur individually for each team following an instructional meeting in the beginning of the month to cover any rules. A day/time may need to be scheduled at these meetings to complete MINOR events depending on the hosting venues. At least one team member participating in the MINOR event is required to attend the MINOR event meeting prior to the team competing in the event. If no team members can attend the instructional meeting the team must schedule a meeting with a committee member prior to competing. ● Each participant is required to complete a waiver prior to participating in any event. Please send all waivers to ASCECup@gmail.com. ● Each team will designate two representatives on their team as the Team Captain and Team Co-Captain who will receive all correspondences regarding the ASCE Cup. It is the responsibility of each team to ensure their company’s information is correct, complete, and meets all deadlines, as well as information distributed to each participant on the team for each event. ● Teams may wear team uniforms, but it is not required. All costs to compete in events and equipment will be provided by the Cup Challenge unless stated throughout this document. ● Personal equipment may be used except as stated throughout this document. ● MINOR events may be completed any time during the designated timeline. If a team is not able to make their scheduled time, they must be able to make up the time within the allotted timeline, otherwise the team will forfeit and receive a ‘no show’ for that event. Any team out of compliance with the vendor’s guidelines, will receive a ‘no show’ for the event. ● Check-in is required at all MAJOR events. Check-in will begin at 1:00PM, 30 minutes prior to the Captain’s Meeting at each MAJOR event and play will begin promptly at the designated start time. ● Any protests on the events will be handled by the ASCE Cup Committee. Please send any comments, questions, or concerns to the ASCECup@gmail.com. ● All participants/spectators are expected to follow the rules set forth by the ASCE Cup Committee and the staff of the location of the event, no exceptions. ● ‘Points’ and ‘shields’ will be separate scoring systems. Shields will be used to rank teams in the overall scoring of the Cup Challenge. Points will be used at each event, except for timed events, to rank teams to earn shields. Additional details on scoring are specified in the rules for each event. The team with the most shields after the conclusion of all events will win the Cup trophy. No shows and disqualified teams will result in zero shields for that event. The CUP Rules 2021 2
● The scoring is as follows per event: ○ Team with most points/best time: 100 Shields ○ Team with second most points/best time: 80 Shields ○ Team with third most points/best time: 60 Shields ○ Remaining Teams: 50 Shields ○ No Shows/Disqualified Teams: 0 Shields ● An ASCE Cup trophy will be provided to the team who completes the entire competition with the most total shields, not points, out of all eight events. (and they will have some serious bragging rights). ● In the event of a tie in the overall shields, the team who placed higher in the team challenge course will rank higher in the overall standings. ● The rules for the ASCE Cup are subject to change at any time for past, current, or future events as specified by the ASCE Cup Committee; any changes will be emailed to all captains and co-captains. ● Results for the event will be released to the Team Captains via email the week following the last team’s completion of the event and will be available on the ASCE TMB website. ● The Awards Presentation will be following the conclusion of the last MAJOR event (Team Challenge Course) at Bartley Ranch. Friends and family are encouraged to attend! ● Players/Coaches Code of Conduct: Any player or coach who strikes an official or staff member is automatically suspended for life from The Cup Challenge. Any player who uses unnecessary rough tactics or sabotages a part of the course against an opposing player, which may involve abusive language, will be suspended from the tournament.
