Dublin City University Profile
Dublin City University is pleased to present our proposal to Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla,
Mexico for the provision of an English Language Group Programme. In this proposal we will seek
to outline our competencies in teaching, programme operations and student experience, and
demonstrate that Dublin City University is a suitable choice of provider for this programme.

Dublin City University (www.english.dcu.ie and www.dcu.ie) is a young, dynamic and ambitious
university with a distinctive mission to transform lives and societies through education, research
and innovation. We are a research-intensive, globally engaged institution that is distinguished by
the quality and impact of its graduates and focus on the translation of knowledge into societal and
economic benefit. Excellence in education and research activities has led to our consistent ranking
in the top 100 of the world’s young universities (QS Top 100 under 50).

The English Language School is based at the heart of Dublin City University’s main campus at
Glasnevin, Dublin. Established in 1992 as Ireland’s first university language school, it has
personnel of more than 40 full-time staff and a student body in excess of 7,000 per annum.

DCU has extensive experience in the provision of language training on our Dublin campuses, on
partner premises throughout Ireland, and internationally to partner universities.

We hope to have the opportunity to welcome students of Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla to
DCU in 2020.
